Chapter Six:

-Three Weeks Later: Konoha-

The three genin stared at the paper in front of them with insecurity and doubt, their eyes betraying their blank faces, as Dimitri watched them from the shade of the tree they sat under, his bronze eyes holding hidden amusement. They could face a jonin-ranked missing nin, his high-chunin apprentice, and a money shark's army...but they can't fill out a simple form. He shook his head in amusement, his lips twitching as they held back a smile. Suddenly, movement from his princess made him glance down to see her filling out her form, beautiful and neat kanji dancing on the lines she needed to fill out. Her action awoke the two boys from their daydream and glance at her before copying her, already knowing that if she did this, then they did this as well.

There's no way in hell she's doing it alone.

In just a few minutes, their forms were complete and ready to turn in. "So," Naruto started at his place on Hinata's left, "Whatcha wanna do?" Kiba gained a thoughtful look with his right fang poking out from his lips, and suggested, "Why don't we go get something to eat? I mean, we did just come back like two days ago." Hinata smiled at her best friend and nodded. "Hai, let's go!" She agreed as she got up from her spot, dusting herself off, while softly calling over her shoulder, "Are you hungry, Dimitri?" Said schatten engel shook his head in the negative. "Im fine, Lady Amethyst, I've already eaten the lunch you made for me." Dimitri said with a small smile directed at her while Naruto held a curious look. "What do you guys eat?" Kiba asked Naruto's unspoken question, his slit pupiled eyes holding curiousity at the schatten engel. Dimitri shrugged. "What you humans eat, but a wider range. I personally love Lady Amethyst's orange chicken and steamed rice." Said girl blushed at this, it wasn't everyday that an angel stated that her cooking was his favorite food. "Now that's outta the way, let's go eat-" "NO RAMEN!" Naruto gawked at Kiba's cry, his eyes wide with complete disbelief and shock. "W-what?! Why?!" Naruto got out. "Because," Kiba started with Hinata finishing somewhat shyly, "W-we have t-t-that everytime we g-go o-out to e-eat...Naruto-kun. I-if you l-like, I could m-make ramen for a-all of us t-tomorrow." She ended with a negotiation, her lilac eyes boring into his dark blue ones. His eyes lit up in joy as he almost squealed, "OH 'NATA YOU'RE THE BEST!!!" before tugging at their sleeves and skipping along towards the village, taking the rooftops towards a bar-b-que joint. They jumped down and walked through the entrance before a happy Chouji called, "Hey guys! Come sit with us!" as he waved his hand for them to come over. Team Seven complied with Akamaru hidden inside Kiba's loose jacket and slid into the seats with Hinata sitting next to Shikamaru and Naruto and Kiba sitting next to Chouji and Sakura. "Hey, Hinata-chan." Shikamaru gave a lazy smirk towards his best female friend. She blushed rosy pink yet smiled brightly, "Hello, Shikamaru-kun, how's your team so far?" "It's okay, Asuma-sensei makes us do teamwork stuff and we had our C-rank mission a week before you guys came back. What about you?" Shikamaru informed, and Hinata could clearly see that he rather Ino to be in his team than the pinkette. "It's like a dream come true! Kakashi-sensei helped us grow stronger and become more of a team, a family. Naruto-kun and Kiba-kun are like brothers to me and Kakashi-sensei is like the overprotective and funny father I never had." Naruto and Kiba smiled brightly at Hinata as Chouji and Shikamaru grinned at her proclamation while Sakura politely smiled at her. In reality, she was fuming with her Inner ranting violently. First Sasuke-kun, then Ino, now them?! That bitch is ruining everything! Inner Sakura roared, holding a Hinata doll before tearing it to shreds and burning it, darkly chuckling as she did so, remembering back at the Academy where Sasuke let the Hyūga sit next to him. Actually talking to her warmly...and laughing. When she tried to talk to him, he just gave her the cold shoulder and glared at her. I'll get my Sasuke-kun and Ino-pig back from that hoe....even if it's the last thing I do... Sakura declared as she watched in disgust as Hinata giggled at the joke Kiba told with Naruto and Chouji laughing and Shikamaru chuckling. After lunch with Team Ten, Team Seven hung out at the bridge, staring at the completed forms again with doubt in their eyes as Dimitri watched them make their final decision. "Can we really do it?" Kiba asked, "This sees if we're able to rank up or not." Hinata worriedly frowned at Kiba's question, considering it to mind, as silence settled over them. "If it helps, Lady Amethyst, I think you three will be perfectly fine." Dimitri's deep and raspy voice filled their ears, making them look up in shock with Hinata being the first to smile gratefully at the schatten engel. "He's right!" Naruto added his two cents, "If we could beat an army, a jonin-ranked missing nin, and a high chunin-ranked missing nin, then we could do this!" Kiba agreed and Hinata gave them a bright smile that could make a rainy day a sunny day.
