As Nicole and Waverly were walking hand-in-hand back to Nicole's after their once-a-fortnight date night, a drop of water fell on Waverly's nose.

"What was that?" Nicole laughed, reacting to the strange noise Waverly had made.

"I..." Waverly looked up at the night sky only to receive another drop, this time to the forehead, "Shoot! It's going to rain!"

Nicole laughed again and Waverly looked at her puzzled.

"What?" She asked, frowning in confusion.

"You're so cute when the rain hits you." Nicole explained, pulling Waverly closer to her by the hand and then put her arm around her shoulders.

"It's not funny, Nicole! We're going to get wet!" The brunette argued but didn't pull put of the hug. When she saw Nicole's dimples, she found herself smiling too.

The rain started picking up, heavy drops landing and forming puddles all around them. Waverly tried to dodge the drops, but ended up getting hit more often, which made Nicole laugh again and again.

Suddenly, a mischievous look flashed through Nicole's eyes. She saw a rather large puddle ahead of them and let go of Waverly racing over there and looking at her girlfriend with a troublesome smirk.

"Oh, don't you dare!" Waverly warned but her smile reached her eyes. She stopped walking entirely, waiting for the copper haired woman to return to her side, but when she didn't Waverly devised a plan to get past her.

She stepped forwards, still a safe distance from the puddle. Nicole narrowed her eyes and put her feet further apart, arms out to her sides and she squatted down a little.

Breaking into a run, Waverly tried to make it past the puddle. Nicole saw it coming, though, and managed to splash the water up at her.

Waverly tensed up, hands splayed and in front of her, and squealed when the cold water hit her. Then, they both laughed once more.

Waverly jumped into the puddle and splashed Nicole back, and soon they were having a full-on water fight in the puddle.

Once both of them were wet through and out of breath, cheekbones aching from laughing, Nicole enveloped the giggling Waverly in a hug.

"How about we get home and curl up on the sofa with four blankets and a mug of hot cocoa? Hey?"

"That sounds perfect."
