If you promise to smile back
And hopefully, someday
I can get you to laugh.
When you're sad,
I'll be here to listen.
When you're glad,
I'll be happy for you.
I'll give you my hand
If you promise not to let go
To catch me when I fall
Or keep me from falling at all.
I'll give you all my heart
If you promise not to break it
I'd trust you with my deepest secrets
But you'd have to trust me, too.
And I'll love you
With every piece of my heart
For as long as I breathe
If you only promise
To do the same for me.
