We were like a china doll.
Beautiful, lovely.
And yet we must have played too much,
For we broke. We were like crystal.
Sparkling, wondrous.
And yet we must have gleamed too bright,
For we broke. We were like eggs.
Smooth, fragile.
And yet we must have looked too good,
For we broke. We were like a temper.
Cool, but ready to explode.
And yet we must have boiled too high,
For we broke. We were like a book.
Neat and clean, always at the ready.
And yet we must have been read too much,
For we broke. We were best friends.
Connected at the hip, together forever.
And yet we must have grown too close,
For we are broken.

PoetryPoems by yours truly. I don't usually stick to strict rhyme-schemes, so my poetry is more lyrical than anything else. I appreciate all reviews and constructive criticism is wonderful!
