The truth

I woke up by being tapped on the shoulder.

"Jessica, wake up." Logan said

I groaned and asked, "What do you want Logan?" 

"Amber is here." 

I sat up, looked at the clock. 6:30 

I got out of bed and went to the door. I heard slight knocks.

I opened the door and was greeted by a sleepy Amber.

"Hey." She said

"Hey. You tired?" I asked

"Yes." She responded

"I'll take your bags and you just lay down on the couch." I said

"Thanks."

I took her bags and put them somewhere. I got an extra blanket and went to the couch where she was sleeping.

I laid down where my feet was to her chest and her feet was to my chest.

I put the blanket over us and both of us fell back asleep.

Time skip

I woke up and looked at Amber. She was still sleeping.

Since I was curious, I decided to check her wrists.

I slowly got up and pulled the covers slightly off of her. She was wearing a hoodie. I grabbed her palm and pulled down the hoodie off of her wrist. She stirred a little and went back to sleep.

I pulled it back far enough where I could see the scars and new cuts. I let go of her palm and put her hoodie back over her wrist.

I sighed and walked to Logan's bedroom. The bed was messy. I saw that the bathroom light was on so I figured he was in the shower.

I walked over to the bed side table and grabbed my phone.

I went out of his room and closed the door. I went to the kitchen and made myself cereal.

Before I sat down I heard footsteps.

I looked behind me and saw Amber.

"Morning." She said

"Good morning." I replied

I sat down and she sat down beside me.

"How's Jack?" She asked

"I don't know. He hasn't been here in weeks." I said

"Oh. I forgot they are touring." She said

"Yeah, it kind of sucks." I said

Amber only nodded.

I took a bite of my cereal and ate it.

"Amber. You need to answer me truthfully." I said

"Alright." She said quietly 

"Are you cutting?" 

"No." She said

"Amber. I know you are." I said

She looked down and played with her fingers.

"I saw the scars on your wrists and new cuts." I said

She didn't say anything.

I ate more of my cereal and waited for her to say something.

"Okay, I admit. It was when Matthew wouldn't go away, I had to leave you and Jack on bad terms, and my life was just a mess." She said

I put my spoon down and said, "Amber. You know I love you. I don't want you to do anything like that anymore. Okay?" 

"Okay." She said, she finally stopped playing with her fingers and looked up.

I smiled and she smiled back. 

I then heard my phone vibrate. I looked to see who it was.

It was Zach trying to FaceTime me.

I grabbed my phone and answered it.

Zach's amazing face popped up on the screen.

"Hey!" He said

"Hey." I answered

"I miss you. I'm sorry I haven't called you in a while." He said

"I miss you so much. And it's fine. Since we texted it wasn't that bad."

He smiled and looked to his left.

Then Jonah, Corbyn, Daniel, and Jack popped up on the screen.

"HEEEYY!" The all yelled

"Heeyyyy!" I said

"Is Amber there?" Jack asked

"Yup." I said and turned the camera around to her. She smiled and waved.

I turned the camera back to me and asked, "How's the tour going?" 

"Great actually." Daniel said

Jonah nodded in agreement.

I heard someone yell in the distance and the guys turned their heads to the yelling.

Zach put it on mute and they were talking back to whoever was yelling.

Zach finally un-muted it and said, "We have to go. Love you!" 

"Love you!" I said 

He ended the FaceTime call and I put my phone up.

In all honesty, it was going to be harder without them.
