Emma's POV

"What the hell?!" Xavier yells, "I will not kill my father!"

My eyes narrow at him, whilst I place a hand on my hip.

"You don't have much of a choice" I respond bluntly.

His eyebrows crinkle in confusion, a habit that I have come to find adorable.

"Again, what the hell? I'm the vampire prince I don't have to do anything that you say!" He responds cockily.

I scoff at his arrogance and take a menacing step closer.

"Well sorry to tell you this, but you're in my territory now, dickhead. My wolves wouldn't think twice about ripping you to shreds, so unless you have a death wish, I wouldn't question me" I hiss at him.

For a moment his gaze softens and a cheeky smirk begins to play with the corners of his lips.

"What?" I ask, get slightly annoyed.

His smirk widens as he looks between me and his shoes.

"Oh nothing. I just didn't imagine you as one to be aggressive. Even if you are a werewolf."

Anger immediately sparks deep inside me at his crude reference to my race, which he just so happens to have destroyed.

"What the hell do you mean by that?!" I hiss at him, struggling to hold back my wolf from tearing him apart.

"You know exactly what I mean. The blood lust. The claws and fangs. You savages are a danger to all of the four kingdoms!" He replies savagely.

My heart rate begins to increase, just as my fangs begin to extend. However, I grit my teeth to stop them from coming out. Pain sparks in my mouth from the extreme force.

"See!" Xavier repeats, noticing the extreme effort I am taking to control my inner nature.

"One more word that discriminates against me or my race and I will rip out your tongue" I growl at him through my gritted teeth.

His eyes narrow at me as I ball my fists together in anger.

"See the fact that you're threatening me right now proves my point. You're all just like my father said. Blood thirsty, mindless savages" he hisses at me, his fangs extending.

The sight of his fangs make a spark of fear swell in my chest, but I quickly dismiss it and retrieve my bravado.

"You don't know what you're talking about. You just believe whatever daddy tells you. I'm guessing that today was your first day at the detentions?" I scoff at him, "well news flash. Your father has murdered and enslaved an entire race out of envy, so you might want to start questioning whatever he tells you."

I take another step closer and look up at him with narrowed eyes and malice dripping from my voice.

"I'm no blood thirsty savage. You want to know what a real blood thirsty savage looks like? Look in the mirror" I hiss at him.

By this point I am simply fuming with anger. I just want to get rid of him so badly. His attitude is killing me. I know that if he 'disappears' then the king's punishments will be brutal, however, in this moment of pernicious rage, I really couldn't give a damn.

Spinning on my heel I walk out the door, pleased that he follows me. Just as I had suspected, Luke is waiting outside, clearly eavesdropping on our conversation.

"Kill him. He's not worth my time" I command Luke emotionlessly.

Luke's eyes widen in surprise, before a lethal smirk slowly makes its way onto his face. His eyes immediately go back to their normal shape and are filled with complete and utter satisfaction.
