Traitor (An EXO, Mystery/Thriller Fan Fiction) [HIATUS]

Chapter 4

"First evidence." Tao said. "The killer purposely left the evidence here."

"Are you serious?" Xiumin said with a sarcastic tone in his voice.

"I"m serious." Tao said rolling his eyes. He grabbed a paperbag from the case and put the knife and the note inside. He sealed it up tightly.

"Finally!" Luhan said. "Our first evidence. You guys wouldn't have found it if it wasn't for me."

"Ah, shut the hell up. Don't be too cocky." Xiumin said.

"Whatever~"

( TIME SKIP )

For the past hour, Tao, Xiumin and Luhan haven't found anything after the first evidence. They decided to close the investigation and turn in the evidence to the police later on. They headed out of Lay's room, ducking under the yellow caution tape that ran over the frame of Lay's bedroom door. Once they entered EXO-M's living room, questions were thrown at them.

"So did you find any evidence?"

"Who's the killer?"

"What took you so long?"

"How many evidence did you find?"

"Guys! Hold on please, we're so tired." Luhan said, sighing.

"Yeah, my neck hurts." Xiumin said while his hand was placed at the back of his neck.

They went and sat down on the couch. Tao opened the case and took out the paperbag which contained the knife and the note.

"Inside the bag, is a knife and a note." Xiumin said.

"That's the only evidence we found." Tao said. "Thanks to Luhan."

"Yeah guys." Luhan said while grinning in pride. "I found it."

Xiumin rolled his eyes and shook his head in disagreement.

"Serious?" D.O asked with his eyes wide open. "What does the note say?"

"I guess you found it. Congratulations." Tao said. "The killer also added a heart at the end of the sentence.

"Sick bastard." Chen said. "Do you have any clue on who the murderer is?"

"Gathering all the evidence..." Tao said. "I kind of suspect someone here."

"Who?" Chanyeol asked.

"Xiumin." Tao said.

"What?" Xiumin exclaimed. His eyes showed that he was clearly shocked. Everyone was staring at him at this point.

"Take a look at this." Tao took out a folder from the case. He opened up the folder and took out pictures. It was pictures of Lay's body. "Look at his back."

Everyone looked at Lay's back. There was a huge ' X ' shaped wound located on his back.

" You see the ' X ' right?" Tao pointed at the picture. "The only EXO member that has an ' X ' as their first letter in their name is you, Xiumin."

"And Lay's body was found in EXO-M's dorm." Kris said. "It must be you Xiumin."

"No! It's not me! I swear to God that I didn't kill anyone!" Xiumin exclaimed.

"And how do we know if you're lying?" Sehun asked.

"Just believe me! Please..." Xiumin started to break down. "It's not me..."

"Whatever." Chen scoffed. "We know it's you."

"You've got that wrong!" Baekhyun exclaimed. Everyone looked at him. "It's not Xiumin for sure."

"And how do you know that?" Chanyeol asked.

"Xiumin was helping Tao and Luhan investigating." Baekhyun explained. "Why would a killer help someone who is investigating? Wouldn't he try to lure them into nothing?"

"What if Xiumin was helping them just to make sure there was no evidence around." Kris pointed out.

"If he was just trying to make sure that there was no evidence, why didn't he stop me from going into the closet?" Luhan asked.

Slowly, one by one, everyone started to agree with Luhan. If Xiumin was really the killer, he should've stopped Luhan from finding the evidence that was in the closet.

"Sorry about that Xiumin..." Tao said. "I couldn't help it."

"And besides." Baekhyun said. "I found this."

Baekhyun picked up a bag on the floor. He took something out of the bag. He held up two small cardboard boxes.He opened it and inside were two identical keys.

They were both keys to EXO-M's dorm.

"I just found this today. You know the carpet outside of EXO-M's dorm? It was underneath it. Pretty funny eh?"

"What the? Why are there two keys?" Sehun asked.

"One is Lay's key." Baekhyun said. "And one is a copy of Lay's key."

Everyone was shocked.

"So that means the killer somehow got Lay's key and made a copy of it?" Tao asked. "But why would the killer make a copy of Lay's key? Wouldn't the killer keep the Lay's key?"

"The killer probably wanted to have two keys just in case." Luhan said. "But why would the killer leave it under a carpet?"

"I think the killer was going to use it again." Tao said.

"Nope." Baekhyun said. "Flip the carpet over."

Tao and Luhan looked at each other, both raising an eyebrow. They went outside EXO-M's dorm and left the door wide open. The other EXO members were watching Tao and Luhan from the inside of the dorm.

"This carpet right?" Luhan asked Baekhyun while pointing at the brown carpet with 'WELCOME' on it.

"Duh."

Luhan flipped the carpet over. Tao and Luhan gasped. On the back of the carpet, there were words written in what look like red ink. It read:

"OOPS, I LEFT THE EVIDENCE ACCIDENTALLY. ENJOY :) "

Lol, this chapter's ending is kinda the same as the last chapter. The next chapter's ending would be more diffrent. I promise. ;)

That Dangan Ronpa refrence tho. xD

Hmmm... Who do you think the killer is?
