A Better Life

Chapter 3

I woke up to the beautiful sound of singing coming from the bed side. I rolled over and saw a beautiful, fit, shirtless Austin at the dresser beside the bed.

"Well good morning my beautiful darling. How did u sleep?" he said noticing me staring at him.

"I slept well. I forgot we were in the hospital." I said noticing Em still asleep beside me.

"Ya. I did too." He said with a huge smile.

"Why are you smiling? It's sad that we are here." I said scrunching up my eyebrows and puffing out my lip.

"Because today is the day we get to bring Em home!" he said moving onto the bed

I forgot that it had been a week since we arrived. Dr. Smith said that Em's condition has been improving. She is eating more, laughing more, smiling more. She is finally back to her normal self. I just can't wait to get her home.

"Speaking of home, where are we going to stay?" I asked moving so I was laying on his chest.

"I wanted it to be a surprise, but while we have been in the hospital. My mom, Dave, and the crew have all moved your stuff to my house in San Antonio!" he said while wrapping his arms around my waist for only a few seconds.

"Wait!! We are moving to San Antonio! OH MY GOD!!! I'm so excited!" I said jumping off the bed with a huge smile on my face.

"What's going on?" Em said rolling over to lean on Austin. They are so cute when they cuddle.

"EM WE ARE MOVING TO SAN ANTONIO TO LIVE WITH AUSTIN!!!" I said jumping up and down like I was a little kid.

"Your joking right?" She said looking into Austin's eyes.

"I'm not kidding Em. My friends and mom have all moved your stuff there already. We are leaving today at 1:30 to catch our flight down there." Austin said moving a piece of hair away from her eyes.

Em was speechless, she didn't say anything. She just smiled so big that it made me smile. I went and sat back down on the bed pushing Austin over. I laid my head on his chest just above Em's. I honestly couldn't wait till 1:30 to know that I would be safe away from Cody.

"I'll finally have the two most beautiful girls back in my life. I won't have to fly so far to see you guys." Austin said bending down to kiss my head.

I grabbed his hand and intertwined our fingers on Em's back. Em still didn't know we where dating and I assumed that right now would be the perfect time to tell her.

"Hey Em?" I said rubbing her back.

"Yes sissy?" she said moving to face me and Austin.

"Austin and I have something to tell you. This happened the night we came here. But when you where asleep Austin asked me to be his girlfriend, an I said yes." I said biting my lip hoping Austin wanted to say the same thing.

"Yay! I was waiting for you two to get together. You guys where always so cute!" she said her eyes lighting up with excitement.

"Well we better pack up our stuff and get ready for our flight." I said pushing myself off the bed.

I went into the bathroom and got my makeup, toothbrush, brush, my hair products, and shower supplies. As I was reaching into the shower I felt warm, muscular arms wrap around my waist.

"That was smart of you. To tell Em now instead of in San Antonio." He said kissing my cheek.

Austin was 4 inches taller then me. So when I turned around I laid my head on. his chest, wrapping my arms around his waist.
