I throw a twenty dollar bill at the taxi driver's head on my way out of the cab. I toss my duffel bag over my shoulder and sprint into the hospital. I stop running when I see a load of security guards by the elevators. There is no way to get passed them. I spin on my heel and head to the other end of the hospital.
It's a good thing I googled this hospital on my way over here. I know where all of the stairways are.
I spot the stairway door and sneak it without being noticed. On the wall, there is a panel that has all the floors located on it. The intensive care is located on the fifth floor. That's a lot of climbing. It's worth it to see Liam.
I jog up the stairs two at a time. I need to see him. I have to know he is okay. He has to be okay. I just realized I love him. I have to tell him.
I reach the fifth floor panting. I swing open the door and take in my surroundings. I spot a round desk up ahead with a nurse sitting behind it. I jog over to the table as fast as I can. The nurse is talking on the phone while examining her nails.
"Excuse me?" I ask, looking around hoping to find what direction Liam is in. I don't even see an security. He must be in the back somewhere.
The nurse ignores me. "I hate the night shift. It's so boring." She flicks her blonde hair over her shoulder.
Really? She's going to ignore me? She's a nurse. She is supposed to be helping people. Not talking on the phone to her friends.
"Excuse me?" I say again, tapping the desk.
She looks up at me. "I have to go. There is some girl here...No, she's not that pretty...Haha!...She's wearing pajamas." She laughs in the phone. "I know!"
I reach forward over the desk. I grab the phone from her hand and hang up. "You're here to work, not chat on the phone with your friends."
The girl straightens up in her chair. "I suggest you back up before I call security."
"Can I have Liam Payne's room number, please?" I get straight to the point.
"I'm sorry, but there is no one here under that name." She smirks, looking back at her nails.
"Look, Blondie." I place both of my hands on the desk. "He is my boyfriend. I need to see him."
"Ever heard of personal space? Back off." Blondie pushes my hands away. "Do I look stupid to you? Do you have any idea how many girls have told me that they were his girlfriend today?"
"I'm telling the truth!" I say, getting annoyed at her attitude. "I'm friends with One Direction."
"Please. Like One Direction would ever hang out with you. You are too ugly for Liam to date. He could do way better than you." Blondie smirks.
"Thanks for your opinion, but I don't care." I snap. "Ring up his room."
"I'm giving you five seconds to leave or I'm calling security." Blondie's hand hovers over a small red button on the desk. I cross my arms not moving. "Fine then." She slams her hand on the button.
I whip out my cell phone to dial Zayn's number. I scroll down my contacts list to the bottom. Something grabs my arms and I drop my phone. It shatters on the floor by my feet. Oh heck no. I look up at two burly men in all black.
"Is this the girl?" The one on my left asks the nurse.
"That's her. A these psycho fans trying to get in." She leans back in her chair.
"Let me go!" I attempt to yank my arms out of their tight holds. They tighten their hold on my arms causing me to wince in pain. "My name is Tori Adams! My boyfriend is Liam Payne!"
