" Do you think I look anything like Susan?" I spoke to Edmund, as he sighed. That was his usual reaction when I brought up the subject of Susan's beauty.

Of course, Susan is my sister and it would be wrong to feel jealous of her beauty, I just want a boy to like me and think i'm beautiful and....this is stupid...

Usually when something like this happens I would talk to a girl, but I haven't made any friends in Cambridge so far..

Its been 3 years since we'd last been to Narnia, and I can't help but wandering when we are going back. Who knows, maybe Aslan makes us go back the day before we die...

But I must say, I'm not the one that's suffering the most, Edmund misses Rose deeply, and one night I heard in crying his eyes out- and I remember that very clearly as it Eustace slept the whole way through it and knew nothing about it the next morning.

" Lucy, have you seen this picture before" Edmund stated as he walked up to the only picture in the room.

"Yes, it's very narnian looking isn't it!" I replied, whilst walking over to the picture as well.

It had a gold frame, and the sea was all the shades of blue; but what really caught my attention, was the boat in the far distance- it seemed to have a Narnian symbol on the flag.

" Just another reminder that we're here and not there.." Edmund mumbled.

" What is it with you orphans, wasting your time, believing in Narnian nursery rhymes!" A voice spoke from behind us...Eustace.

To be honest, he is our cousin but we treat each other as if we're enemies at school or something.

" Get out, Eustace.." Edmund spoke, trying not to say it with temper. As I looked down his fists were clenched.

"It's my house I can do what I please" And as I turned around, he seemed to make himself comfortable on my bed.

" There once was a boy called Eustace, who read books that held facts that were useless!" Edmund replied cheerfully, but really it was just a little joke between us, and it made me smile, as much as I didn't want to get involved.

" At least, I'm not the sort to become hideous burdens, whilst I read book that are actually usefu-" But Ed had already replied he didn't need to hear anymore.

" HIDEOUS BURDENS???? It's funny, you haven't layed a finger on us since we've got home, or should I tell Aunt Alberta is was YOU who stole our tom burton sweets!" Before I could speak, it seemed like I had been spat on, from behind me.

As I turned around, I watched in confusion as the waves in the picture started to move, and as one wave came close, it seemed to spurt out off the picture making me gasp.

It wasn't until Ed and Eustace witnessed the cold spurted on them, before Ed realised what was happening.

" Lucy! D'you think?" Edmund said in surprise, and came to the picture, water was gushing in now.

" What is this? Is it some sort of trick? Somebody ought to tell mother...MOTHER!" Eustace ran to the door, but Ed stopped him. He and I both knew that he had to see Narnia, whether he liked it or not.
