Chapter 9 Caspian

Lucy, Ed and their obnoxious cousin had gone in the boat with reepicheep- and were behind the boat, me and rose were in. I wandered how on earth they had gotten into the sea we were sailing on- it must've been some sort of miracle. I hoped i would see them again, but i didn't expect them to come back this soon.

" So, how do you like cousin toothbrush?"

I switched out of my thoughts to face my sister, who was looking at me with her big eyes.

" He's..interesting"

" Interesting? HA. Caspian when did you get so formal?"

" When i became King" I said, perhaps a little more sternly then i should've.

Rose turned away quite quickly, maybe trying to cover up her disappointment or hurt. I felt very bad in all that second, but i didn't have the guts to make up for it. I did not have time for an argument inbetween this searching of the 7 lords anyway.

" Sire, we have arrived " Reepicheep explained, as i blinked twice befroe getting off the boat.

" It seems extremely..." Lucy started.

" Abandoned?" Edmund suggested, as i looked up at the city walls.

" Almost..too quiet" I exclaimed, as my mind fixed itself to make a plan.

" Reepicheep, you stay here with Trinian and the men, I, Queen Lucy, King Edmund and Princess Rose will-"

" AND ME!" Eustace cried in desperation as he got off from the floor.

" And...Eustace.. We will go and search the island, if we don't come back here by nightfall- send a searching party" I stated, slightly frustrated that Eustace would be accompanying us.

" Yes, your majesty " Reepicheep said, as me and Edmund drew our swords, whilst Lucy, her dagger, and Rose, her bow and arrow.

We had just got into the city walls, and it indeed did look abandoned, Eustace claimed that he needed something to defend himself. We all practically ignored him, as he bantered on, and we had finally reached what looked like the entrance to a chapel, until Rose cracked.

" Alright, toothbrush, here, if you feel SO defenceless and weak by your own!" Rose didn't shout, but you could hear the anger in her voice, as she chucked him an arrow from her storage of arrows.

" Needed one less anyway " Rose mumbled as she overtook us going into the chapel.

" Stay guard and be useful" I heard Ed say, before he too entered the chapel with me, Rose and Lucy.

" O-o-ok, i'm the bravest here anyway, so who else would you-" We heard Eustace mumble, but Ed had slammed the door behind him, so it blocked out Eustace's banter.

" What is this place?" Lucy asked, as we all searched our surroundings.

" I think i have a plain idea " Rose said calmly, as us three turned to where she was stood, leaning over a book, gracefully flipping over the pages.

We went over to her, striding quickly, and as soon as i reached her sightings, Rose and I exchanged knowing looks.

" What? What is it?" Ed said desperately, as he looked at the book, with names scribbled out.

" Slaves-" But as soon as the words came out of my mouth, yells were heard, and about 8 men came from above the chapel.

" Lucy- LOOK OUT!" I yelled as Lucy was the nearest to them landing.

We all were fighting, and it looked as if we were going to defeat them until we heard a yell from the entrance. Ed and me turned on our heels, Lucy and Rose were already facing that way, and we saw Eustace being threatened with a knife, by what seemed the leader of those who had attacked us- as they had stopped.                                      

" Place down your weapons or this child who screams like a little girl, will be fed to the lions " It took a split second to realise that only 2 years ago that this specific island wanted lions; so i knew i had to give in.

Reluctantly, all four of us placed our weapons on the ground, making sure to keep eye contact on the man who had eustace's neck in touch with the knife.

" Good Good, Right, those two to the dungeons!" The man exclaimed as he pointed to me and Ed.

" Look at me you absolute fool! I-AM-YOUR-KING!" I shouted as two men dragged me and Ed towards the entrance.

"And that girl and this boy to the chaining wall!" He exclaimed once again, pointing at Lucy and Eustace.

I struggled from the mens grip but it was too tight and Ed had given up the fight he was giving just that very second.

" LUCY! " He yelled, as we heard her scream.

I was going to call for Rose but it came to my intentions that Rose hadn't pulled one of her witty comments.

And then it came to my intentions; that Rose wasn't there.

I am so so so so so so sorry about the very late updates! I might aswell explain myself for you are the readers who have to put up with my late updates!

The week i was off sick, i thought, was a good chance to fit in some good updates. But i realised my kitchen was being done- so the electricity and all signal was switched off! So i couldn't access wattpad for that reason!

AND THEN!

I said, OH! It's half term next week (1 week holiday) so i'll have a whole week to finish. But right after that thought, my father had come up to me and exclaimed that i was going to Wales- in the middle of nowhere....with no wifi....Which i can call my grandparents house.

So, i am dearly sorry, Rose will have a go at me soon i'm sure of it. Tell me if you have any other problems in the comments below, and remember to comment, vote and well...READ!
