Emily fluffed her hair. "God." She mumbled to herself.

"What?" He asked.

"I look a mess, that's what. I look terrible." She said. Emily and Ed were gonna go to Florida to visit her family, who were very fond of Ed.

"You look amazing. The plane leaves at eight. It's 4:30. We should go." He said. She sighed and put her wallet in her pocket.

"Fine." She said sighing.

"You look perfect." He said kissing her cheek and turning off the bathroom light. She rolled her eyes and walked out the door, Ed following.

They sat on her couch at her home in Florida, a beer in each of their hands. "So it's coming out soon?" David asked. Ed nodded.

"About another month." He replied.

"That's incredible. A real album. Wow." Jesse said.

"Yeah. It's pretty great." Ed replied.

"He's doing great with his music. I think he'll be a hit. A real hit." She said nodding. Ed looked at her and smiled.

"Yeah. I hope so." Ed said looking at her brothers. "Thanks to Emily, I have the stuff to write about. She's helped a lot. All the lyrics... they all somehow involve her." He said nodding. "She really helped." She smiled.

"Emily?" Jesse asked for clarification.

"Yes, Emily," Emily stated about herself. "I'm a help sometimes. I can be useful. I'm not just something you throw knives at." She spoke.

"That was one time-!" "I've been stabbed in the back before. The first person I ever dated. Stabbed my back. Still, have a mark." She said smirking. "People've tried to kill me before." She said shrugging.

"I'm sure that's true." David murmured.

"Wait until I am dead. You'll regret saying that." She said winking at him. Ed laughed.

"How are your thirteen children?" Emily asked taking a drink. He sighed and thought.

"In a week, Jonah turns..." David thought.

"Ten. He was born at 6:34 P.M at the only hospital in Hawthorne and he took only four hours of labor because his parents were seventeen." Emily said bluntly. "I know it all." She said raising an eyebrow.

"Know it all," Jesse mumbled.

"That she is," Ed said, Emily, laughing. "She seems like she knows it all. She does, but she doesn't care about how they may feel." He said smirking. He looked down at her. "When you said we might not..." Ed trailed off.

"That was once!" She said taking a drink. "And I was tired and crazy. Cuz I love you and I always will." She said grinning.

Emily and Ed walked inside the tattoo place. The only one in Hawthorne. "Let's do this." She said sighing happily. He smiled and kissed her cheek. "Two tattoos. One for him, one for me." She said grinning.

She inked her skin with his name on her hip. She had one of his name on her heart, but that for their unborn son. Ed got her name on his shoulder. They had each other's names in a certain way. Hers was cursive. It looked smart and like she cared, whereas his looked partly like a crayon drawing. They didn't know how that could explain each other more. She kissed his cheek as they left.

He pulled out a cigarette. "No!" She exclaimed. "You need to stop smoking, Ed." She said.

"Have you never smoked before." She shook her head. "You've never done drugs, you barely drink, and you've never smoked in your life." She nodded. "Wow. You are the perfect girl in every way, Emily Anderson." She smiled.
