I just wanna say that every time I hear this I cry. I don't know anyone who has ever had a miscarriage, and I am so sorry if you or a loved one has had one. Just the word makes me cry. As I write this chapter, I'm crying. I put a lot of thought into how I would write this song with them since I usually happy stuff. I can't help but feel terrible for reminding anyone of their losses as they read this.

Emily woke up the next morning. Early, early morning. "Eddy?" She asked. He stayed asleep. "Eddy?" She said shaking his shoulder lightly, worry filling her voice.

"Hm.. what?" He asked rubbing his eyes.

"I'm bleeding."

They sat in the back of a cab, fear growing in them. Tears didn't dare come out of her eyes, though they were begging to roll out onto her cheeks. Ed looked down at Emily. "He'll be alright." He said rubbing her shoulder.

"I feel like he won't be." She said pulling the sleeves of her gray jumper, similar to Ed's blue one. They pulled up to the hospital and they left, more worry filling Emily's heart.

"You'll have to wait out here." The doctor told him. He nodded.

"O-OK," Ed said. "I'll wait." He said sadly.

He sat down, a tear down his face. He couldn't lose his baby boy. He just couldn't.

"Emily, we're just gonna take a few quick test, OK?" The doctor said. She nodded.

Ed sat down and tugged on his sleeves and looked up. "Please, Edward. Please." He mumbled.

"You're just a small bump unborn, in four months you're brought to life. Might be left with my hair but you'll have your mother's eyes. I'll hold your body in my hands be as gentle as I can, but for now, you're a scan of my unmade plans. A small bump, in four months you're brought to life.

"I'll whisper quietly, I'll give you nothing but truth. If you're not inside me, I'll put my future in you. You are my one and only, you can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. Oh, you are my one and only, you can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight and you'll be alright." Ed sniffed.

"Oh, you're just a small bump unknown, you'll grow into your skin. With a smile like hers and a dimple beneath your chin. Fingernails the size of a half grain of rice and eyelids closed to be soon opened wide. A small bump, in four months you'll open your eyes. And I'll hold you tightly, I'll tell you nothing but truth. If you're not inside me, I'll put my future in you." Ed sniffed twice as he sang.

"You are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight, and you'll be alright." Ed felt tears grow in his eyes. He had written this song before this happened, but he hadn't made the last lines just yet.

"And you can lie with me, with your tiny feet, when you're half asleep. I'll leave you be, right in front of me for a couple weeks so I can keep you safe."  Ed tugged on his sleeves.

"Cause you are my one and only. You can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. You are my one and only, you can wrap your fingers round my thumb and hold me tight. And you'll be alright.

"You were just a small bump unborn for four months then torn from life. Maybe you were needed up there but we're still unaware as why." Ed sniffed and suddenly heard Emily break out in tears, and he knew what that meant.

He looked up as the door opened. Ed gulped. "We lost the heartbeat. I-I'm sorry..." Ed didn't answer, but the look on his face showed how he felt. "But it was a miscarriage." Ed took a jagged breath in.
