JUNE GRIFFIN

I tossed my bag unto my back as I grab the handle of my luggage. I took out the crumpled paper I used to write down the address of my so called fiancee. He lives in a apartment all by himself and I don't freaking know what came over my parents to write down his name as my "guardian" like the heck? I'm 20 years old for crying out loud.

Being an introvert doesn't mean I would die while living on my own? Gosh! I don't know what came over my parents to even think of it. It has only been 2 weeks after my parents death and here I am moving into someone else's home. Who is this Ryder Strauss anyway? How come he agreed with my parents proposal? Did they offer him money? Wait! On second thought my parents are rich, so why on earth am I moving in to Strauss' place?

I grabbed my phone from my back pocket and dialed Attorney Fernandez's number. It took three rings before she picked up my phone call. I could hear slight people talking at the back ground, I guess I called at wrong time. But this is urgent so might as well continue this.

"Ms. Griffin? Do you have something you need?"she asked on the other line.

"Why am I kicked out of the house? I'm the daughter ain't I?"I asked her. While stopping from my previous tracks. I could hear her slight snort upon hearing my question.

"I believe you are mistaken Ms. Griffin, you are not kicked out of your house. According to your parents will, as long as your not 21 years old. You can't keep the house and temporarily stay at your fiancee."she said. Like oh my gosh! My parents are so cruel. 21? It's freaking September, my birthday is still 9 months away.

"Okay."was the last thing I told her when I cut off the line. Okay breath in, breath out.

I can do this! I can find this place on my own right? Besides it's still 4pm, I won't get lost that easily. As I opened my google maps and searched for his apartment address, it stated to take a cab which will take about 30 minutes. A cab? I haven't ride a cab on my own before. I tried to see if I could walk there, then the app stated it will took me an hour to arrive there. Shoot that's a long walk.

I went to the side walk and tried to catch a cab. But to my attempt no one stopped for me, someone even pushed me to take the cab who happened to stopped. Are this people usually like this? It took me 10 times to get a cab and still I was ignored. Maybe this calls for a walk then?

I slowly started to walk the streets to get to the other side and turned left. Good thing I have a map. I was about 30 minutes away from the apartment when my phone ran out of power.

Omg! No! Not now!

I tried to open my phone but it won't go on, it was totally drained. Oh no! How on earth will I get there? All I remember is that it was in front of a cafe or something. I played with my finger nails while thinking of a solution.

What if I call him? - dead battery remember? Oh yes! I forgot.

How about asking for directions? - good idea, the question is could you handle talking to strangers? You freak out when someone calls your name randomly.

Gosh! Why am I so pessimistic ? It's not really helping me with the situation.

Fine! No choice! I'll walk everywhere until I find that building, I know it's somewhere near here. So I crossed another street and started reading every buildings name, trying to spot the STRAUSS Building. Yep! My so called fiancee is so hella rich, so I'm pretty curious who the heck he is, not the celebrity but as a person really. What made my parents trust him? Is he a family friend or something? I don't remember any Strauss visiting the house, well I don't join any occasions before but I could really recall him if he was a guest, right?
