Chapter 12: Minor Problem

I got a call from Attorney Fernandez this morning, today is her birthday and she invited me to her place. I was so surprised with her sudden invitation that I said YES without even realizing it. And now I'm here freaking out coz I don't know how the hell I would get to her place.

All she texted me was the address, and I still suck grabbing a cab. Gosh what am I going to do? I grabbed my phone and dialed Willow's number, she picked up after three rings but unfortunately all the ABlue girls were busy due to rehearsals. Why do I always forgot that my friends are not normal persons but big stars.

I can't drive car either.

What if I just tell Attorney Fernandez I changed my mind or something came up? But what kind of excuse would I tell her? For sure she would ask, but what? I can't believe I'm about to lie to her because I don't know how to get to her house. I'm so hopeless, and I thought I overcome my shyness already. While I was busy freaking out on what to do the door opened and revealed Ryder.

Thank God his here! I literally dashed towards him and hugged him real tight.

"Gosh your a life saver!"I told him. His surprised expression was so obvious.

"Okay. What's up?"he asked as he placed his things on the couch.

Oh yeah I almost forgot.

"Before that, are you busy today?"I asked him. Well he could drive me there, or better else I could bring him with me.

"Well yeah. Pretty much I'm free. Why?"he asked. Yes!

"Can you come with me?"I told him. "Well Attorney Fernandez is celebrating her birthday today and she invited me to her place. And I don't know how to get there, I don't really got luck grabbing a cab and Willow was busy too. So would that be okay?"I added. I was waiting for his reply in full eagerness in me.

"Sure. I'll just get change and we're off to go."he said. Oh my gosh! Just like that? He agreed?

"Are you sure? Aren't you tired?"I asked concerned. Well he does need some rest.

"No I'm fine. I got some sleep before I came here. Her place isn't that far right?"he asked.

"Well a little bit, it's out of town though that's why I needed someone with me."I told him. He nodded as he went straight to the bedroom and changed his clothes.

Well I guess I need to change as well, but of course I'll be in the bathroom. It wouldn't be okay if I changed at the bed room with him. That would cause some issues, and I can't bare to get bashed by it too.

We are now on our way to Attorney Fernandez's house. Based on the navigator it would take us 3 hours to get there. So I'm here sitting at the passenger seat while Ryder is driving the car. It feels so awkward, it's the first time we're having a road trip just the two of us. And mind you the music isn't helping either.

"This feels awkward."he broke the silence. I couldn't contain my laugh.

"Yeah. I feel you."I told him.

"So, what should we do to kill time?"he asked which made me think of a great idea. But I don't know if he would like it though.

"Hey I have a suggestion."I said energetically.

"Okay. Calm down little pumpkin."he said while laughing. Jeez he literally finds me like a kid.

"I remember playing some games on the car with my parents way back then. It's called a letter game."I said while he start listening well he should be. "The rules is, the first number we see on any sign board is the number of letter we need to name."I added.
