Chapter 40: I love you, Goodbye

"We have a problem."

After Bryce told me those words don't we rushed back to her room and to my surprise we saw June wide awake but her face was full of confusion. She was covering herself with her hair like she was back to her shy mode. What's happening? I was about to approach her when Willow and Natasha stopped me.

"Hey what's up?"I asked confused.

"Don't approach her yet, we're still waiting for the Doctor to check her up."Willow said.

"What? But she looks perfectly fine. And why does she look like she's confused?"I asked while my eyes are still fixed to the girl sitting on the hospital bed.

"What's going on Ryder?"Mrs. Freed asked when she caught up with the running.

"They said we can't approach her yet."I told her.

"Why?"Mrs. Freed asked confused.

"I don't know as well."I trailed off as I stared at Natasha who was kind of hesitant with the situation. Right on time the Doctor arrived and told us to exit the room first, we all headed to the waiting area. I couldn't contain my curiosity.

"What the hell is going on guys? Could you just tell me so I can understand?"I asked all of them, they clearly know what's up since all them looked troubled for some reason.

"Look Ryder, what I'm about to tell please don't freak out and I swear to God we are not lying."Yesha spoke up so my attention went to her.

"What actually happened? Why is she acting like that? Was she hurt or something?"I asked.

"In some way yes."Yesha hesitated to say.

"What do you mean?"I asked concerned.

"It was Jewel who discovered that June moved her finger so we all were startled but what shocked us the more was when she opened her eyes. At first we felt at ease coz finally she woke up, Ralph and the others were about to call you when June started to spoke and we all were shocked."she said. I waited for her to continue. "She asked Jewel who she was."she added.

"What? Why would she ask that?"I said.

"We all don't know as well. Then Willow approached her and to our surprise she screamed like she was approached by strangers then she uttered this words 'Where's my Mom? Or my Dad? I want my parents give me my parents.' So we confirmed that she couldn't remember us as well."Yesha ended.

"Are you sure?"I couldn't believe what I'm hearing right now.

"Well we don't know yet that's why we called the Doctor."Ralph answered. Then after a few minutes the Doctor came to us.

"Uhm Doctor how is Sevenelle?"Mrs. Freed asked the Doctor.

"Unfortunately Ms. Griffin is suffering from temporary amnesia."the Doctor said.

The whole afternoon June didn't want anyone to approach her except for people she's familiar like Christina her Attorney. It was hard for Christina to explain to her about the accident her parents had, it took her hours of crying knowing the truth. We observe that she doesn't remember anyone else but her parents and Christina only, Mrs. Freed took the risk to introduce herself at first June was speechless and wasn't able to process the whole situation Mrs. Freed explained to her.

I badly want to enter the room and tell her who I am, I miss her so much, I miss her voice and I badly want to hug her tight for finally waking up. But every time she sees us peeking on the door she starts to freak out and her head starts to ache which the Doctor suggested for us to give her time to recover.
