Chapter 42: Red Vortex

RED VORTEX SEVEN

I was drifting into sleep when I felt a slight tap on my shoulder, I ignored it since I was to tired to move. The next thing I new Jill was whispering to me, "unnie, do you have chocolate in your wallet?". I just groan from her whisper but she didn't stop tapping my shoulder until I gave up and opened my eyes to look at her. But to my surprise it wasn't Jill who was waking me up but my Manager Lee.

"Ne, unnie?"I asked pretending I wasn't sleeping even though it was obvious. Gosh! I barely had sleep this early morning, why do we have a lot of events to attend to? And why do I have this feeling that I already know the experiences in this situation yet I don't know why the hell I know it? It's not like I had celebrity friends before right?

"Jeez Seven, if you were tired you could have just said so."she whined. Hahaha! Our Manager is just the same age as unnie Nica but when in terms of our job she's serious but when we are all alone in the waiting room she becomes our unnie.

"Mianhe unnie. I didn't want to cause any trouble, I know you're exhausted as well with this packed bookings we have for all the events to attend to."I told her, but she just smiled upon my remark and handed me my wallet.

"Well it's a good thing you guys actually pulled off your debut performance coz if you messed it up, you guys might have ended up waiting for your next chance."she said. Well I guess she's right, this career path I chose should be considered a blessing. Every sweat, sleepless nights and body pain (plus hunger some times) are all worth it when we see our fans cheering and being happy for us.

"Unnie, you want some chocolates?"I asked when I got a small bar of chocolate out of my wallet.

"Aigoo! What am I going to do with you and Jill? You two are trouble makers when in terms of diet."she spoke but she was clearly laughing the thought of it.

"Wae? Food is life. Besides, I lost a lot of weight since trainee days."I spoke.

"Hahaha. Like you trained so long anyway, come let's go have your make up ready. The events going to start any time soon."she said as she held her hand for me.

"Ne unnie."as I accepted her hand and walk with her to the waiting room where the girls are.

"The winner goes to... Red Vortex."the MC announced. Oh my gosh! We won?! My eyes literally was wide as a lollipop. Then I glanced to my members when I saw them surprised as well. "Come on ladies, come on stage and receive your award."the lady MC said which made us stood up from our seats as we walk still in awe with what's happening.

We never expected to win an award, we came because we got nominated. But as a rookie group this award means a lot for us already. I really can't believe it, when we got on stage Ara was the one to receive the trophy while Drea got the bouquet of flowers. Could anyone slap me on the face? I feel like I'm dreaming. My awestruck situation was interrupted when Nica signaled for us to introduce ourselves.

1...2...3..

"Hello everyone! We are Red Vortex." We sais at the same time as we bowed. Our leader Nica-unnie was the one who made a congratulatory remark for the award while me and the others couldn't hide our shock yet happy expressions on stage.

"Lastly, thank you very much for the award. We love you all."Nica ended her message as we all bowed again and exit the stage. Jill couldn't contain her excitement when she grab the trophy from Ara-unnie and held it in her arms as her eyes was almost teary.

"Aigoo maknae, no need to cry here. Save your tears for later."Drea said when she hugged Jill closer as I joined them. I too needed a hug.
