Jaya was furious now... she could not let dev destroy another life. She told Esha that she won't let them destroy another life again.. Esha was confuse now.. she was stunned to know that her dad destroy someone life before so she ask Jaya  about it. In her anger she did not know what she was saying. So she told esha nothing. But Esha was not a fool to know that her mother was hiding something from her. So she told her mother she was under her promise, she has to tell her the truth now. So being helpless she started to tell the truth to Esha.

Flashback starts

About 18 years ago....

Dev and Jaya just got married..they had an arranged marriage. But they started to well adjusted with each other. Dev ran his father business and it was flourishing. They were happy. Soon they came to know that they were becoming parents. They were very very happy. But their happiness was not forever. Soon dev started to come home late and leave home early morning. Sometimes he do not even come home. This started to stress Jaya as she was near her delivery date. But night as usual Dev came home at 1a.m and he entered his bedroom he saw his wife waiting for her. He became angry telling her why she was not sleeping? Jaya told him that she wanted to talk to him and spend some times with him. But Dev became irritated and start scolding her. When Jaya started asking him questions, she slap her hard and she fell down. Gladly she did not fall on her belly but due to the force her water broke. Soon she started screaming in pain... But dev told her go die and left home in anger. Her screams woke her in laws and soon she was taken to the hospital. There after long 8 hours she delivered a cute and beautiful baby who was Her khushi. After sometimes everybody came to the new mother and baby. Then her father in law ask her what happened. Initially she was hesitating to tell them but after some consoling she finally told him everything. He was furious And went home to confront Dev. At night when she was sleeping, she felt someone in her bedroom. She opened her eyes to see Dev grinning evilly to her. She was scared and without dev knowing she press the doctor's alarm who would send a alarm message to the doctor and nurse.  Dev took a pillow from her side and put on her face to kill her. She was trying to fight it but Dev was too strong for her. She started to finally give when Dev heard the doctor coming. He immediate hide himself. And when the doctor reach Jaya to start treating her Dev quickly escape from the door without someone seeing him. When Jaya was stable she ask them to call her father in law.  When he came Jaya told his that she wants a divorce. She cannot stay with him anymore. She did not tell them what Dev tried to do. But Dev father and his family said that they were with her. Dev told Jaya that Dev has been cheating on her since her wedding. The woman was none other that kaamini. Dev accepted to marry Jaya just for her dad don't snatch his shares in his property. The next day Jaya got discharge from hospital and shifted to her mother's house. After two days Mr Verma called his lawyer to be there in the evening and called his every family members excluding Dev to be present there. In the morning A pandit was called for the naming ceremony of the baby. After some rituals and everybody blessings the baby was finally named khushi. And they got it resistered that day only. In the evening the lawyer came and announced Mr Verma's Will. Verma group of industries will entirely be for  Khushi but till her 20th birthday it will be guarded by Jaya and Ram. When Ram will have children they will have 5%each as Ram did not want anything as he was already an established businessman. The next day while Jaya was playing with her daughter in the living room, Dev came there. He started to cry badly and asking Jaya for forgiveness. He told her that he will do everything for her to forgive him.Jaya ask him for divorce but he told her that will accept only if Khushi stayed with him as he will not be able to live without her daughter. He told Jaya that he was going to marry kaamini so Khushi will a mother to look after her. But she can look after her whenever she wanted. Jaya accepted but she had conditions.1. For one year the baby will stay full with her. 2. The permanent separation will start only after one year..to which Dev accepted to both conditions. He called for his lawyer and ask him to prepare the divorce paper and agreement papers. The papers came and both signed it. One year passed as if one day... and the day came and they were in court for their divorce hearing. The judge gave full custody to Dev which was a shock to Jaya as she got permission to see Khushi only twice in six months. As their one year agreement ended on friday, Dev and kaamini got married that day only. And the judge decided to give khushi to them as they could become a complete parent for khushi. Jaya accepted as she was still single. For 1 more year she was allow to see khushi but later Dev refuse her as it was affecting khushi as she would not understand why she had two mothers.  Later Jaya met Roneet Malhotra and got married. She started a new life but never forgot her daughter. And her new family was very understandable too. Her husband always tell her that their first child will always be Khushi. And she could not be happier. Dev change khushi's name to Esha without telling Jaya for reasons known to only to Dev.
