I woke up in bed, Bucky's arms wrapped around me, all my memories from last night came rushing in like a flash flood in my brain. I was waiting for tears to start trickling down my cheeks, but there were no tears. I couldn't cry, I felt so cruel. The two people that have always loved me even though they didn't know me, it was cliche and cheesy, but it was love. I clung onto Bucky, thinking through all the things I've done, every mission where I've shown no mercy. I've killed nearly 500 people all because of HYDRA and because I was trying to survive. Is it selfish to take someone's life in order or keep their own?

"Alex? What's wrong?" Bucky asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. I realized I was shaking. I stuffed my face into his chest, trying to understand everything. Buck ran his fingers through my black hair. "You're going to be okay, Alex. I promise." We stayed that way for a while before I got up. "Where are you going?" He asked.

"To get breakfast." I answered groggily.

"No, I'll get breakfast for us. We can eat in here." He kissed my forehead before walking out. I smiled before sitting against the headboard.

"I'll be okay." I whispered to myself.

Bucky's POV

Steve was downstairs with Sam and Natasha.

"Hey, How's Allie?" Natasha asked.

"I feel like she's moving too fast, I just don't want her shut down, you know?" Steve got up and stood next to me.

"What are you gonna do?" He asked.

"We're gonna eat breakfast by ourselves today. The first time she killed, she acted the same way except she was crying a lot. You won't see a lot of crying from her now, trust me." I explained. I put three pieces of toast in the toaster oven before taking four eggs out of the fridge.

"I don't know, Buck. She might have changed since then." He told me.

"I don't wanna take any chances." I cracked the eggs and added the milk and butter before mixing it.

"Okay, but you shouldn't keep her away from society." He debated.

"Unless she wants to be away from society. I don't want to push her right now, when she's ready, I will." Steve gave me a concerned look before patting my shoulder.

"So, when you gonna ask her out?" He asked, making me nearly drop the eggs.

"Shit." I muttered, Steve snickered. "Well I can't exactly do it right now. I'm not gonna try anything exaggerated for a while."

Alex's POV

I was greeted by the smell of fresh mango, eggs, and toast. Bucky sat down before laying the tray in front of us.

"Mango juice?" I asked.

"Well, there wasn't any orange juice, I guess Mangos are big here." I took a sip, my eyes widened from the powerful flavor.

"That's intense." I chuckled. He smiled at me before taking a bite of his eggs. We ate silently, listening to the radio until an interesting part came up.

"Breaking News, Lilian Chase found held hostage in her own attic, who seemed to be locked in for the past 4 years." We turned around, Bucky turned up the sound. "Chase says she thinks she was locked in by the same organization that took her long-lost daughter, Ella Melody Chase, who reported went missing at 5 months old. Her whereabouts are still 100% unknown to this day. Chase still believes that Ella will come back." Suddenly my mother started talking over the radio. "I'm her mother, even if she was on the other side of the planet I would know if she was dead. She's not, I hope she'll come back, I know that she'll come back and we'll be the family we never got to be. Darling, if you're listening, please find me. I would do anything to get you back. Please, you're all I have."
