Duncan's P.O.V:

"Hallie is back at the house with those thieves! We have to hurry back there!" I yell to the others. "I know, but we've been running for a half hour straight." Tracy pants out. I frown. If they truly saw what Talon did, they would be running. I see my house just a couple more houses. I run inside, to see.... Nothing. No there was really nothing inside. The sleeping bags that littered the ground were gone. I run to the bedroom, hoping to see Hallie still sleeping. An empty bed. Shit. The drawer next to the bed is open. I look to see my old photo album opened. I look in to see that the photo with all of us is missing. Tracy, Abby, and Toni catch up, to look at me sadly. A tear drops. "Duncan?" Abby asks. I look over to her. She's holding a torn note. She reads it aloud. "If you are reading this, that means you survived the store. Bravo. It doesn't matter. You'll never find us. Enjoy the house. Think of it as a trade: You got the house, and we got the doctor. Enjoy. -T" Fucking hell. He really does have Hallie. I pick up a pillow and scream into it. "Duncan, there's a note on the back of the pillow." I turn it over to see a neat note. Another note? I open it and reads aloud. "We are headed to Chicago. Hallie misses you guys, if this is Abby, Toni, Duncan, and Tracy. Move quickly. I know that Talon tried to kill you guys. I will do my best to keep Hallie safe. Just know that Parker doesn't know. Do not blame her. -Anan" Toni looks at me crazy. "How are we supposed to get to Chicago?" I have to think of where I left my car keys. In the Cryogenic pod room? Most likely there. I reopen the broken door and look towards a bag on the edge of the room. I throw it open, to see my car keys. I motion for the others to follow me. I open my garage door with Toni's help. I see my car is there, not in the best condition, but it's enough to get to Chicago and save Hallie. I'm not leaving her behind.
