Chapter 1: Getting Ready

Jen's POV:

It was the big night, the cast party for the start of Catching Fire.

The producers thought it would be good to welcome the new members and to reunite the old ones.

At about 6:00 their was a knock on my door as my personal stylist, Jade, entered.

"Hey, Jen!" Jade says smiling at me.

"Jade! I haven't seen you since the Hunger Games ending party!" I exclaim.

I put down my slice of pizza and run over to Jade, giving her a hug.

"How was Australia?" I ask.

"It was good, but the jet lack was annoying!" She tells me.

We both laugh and Jade acknowledges the slice of pizza on the kitchen counter.

"Does this mean I have to wait to style you up?" Jade asks me with a smirk.

"No, I'm full," I tell her throwing it out.

"Oh my goodness, Jennifer Lawrence, full! Have I entered a parallel universe?"

We both laugh and enter my bedroom as Jade starts to style me.

Jade curls my long chocolate locks, letting them flow down my back. A few strings stay on the side to frame my face.

My make up is bold and daring. Jade uses bright colors to make my eyes and fair skin tone pop.

I'm in a short, strapless, ruby red dress; and a pair of red flats.

For accessories Jade has put me in gold hoop earrings, a gold bracelet with my name engraved, and a red wrist bag.

"Thank you so much, I feel beautiful!" I exclaim to Jade.

"You were already beautiful," Jade assures me with a smile.

When the limo arrives we say our goodbyes. I watch her drive away from the limo window as I head to the party.
