Chapter 29

Josh's Pov:

I wake up the next morning to find Jen in my arms.

For a moment I forget that we are in an air plane.

Her eyes flutter open and she smiles.

"Good morning!" Jen says rubbing her eyes.

We both push our chairs back up.

I check my phone and read the time, 7:30.

We should've landed by now.

Just then Nikolette walks in batting her eyelashes.

"Gooood morning hons!" She says cheerfully.

"We're about an hour behind so just relax," Nikolette tells us.

She gives me a wink before swaying back.

Out of the corner of my eye I notice Jen roll her eyes.

"Is someone jelous?" I ask with a smirk.

"I don't know what your talking about," Jen says looking down.

It's silent as we both just take in this moment. Who knew the calmest place for us was in the sky?

"Josh...I miss you," She says softly.

"I miss you too," I reply.

"I wanna see you more, but we can't do anything flirty," She tells me.

I nod.

"Lets make a pack," I say.

"Oh-" Jen stops suddenly and her face falls.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Nothing it's just...I-I-I can't tell you," She says starting to grab her items.

"Jen, please don't do this again," I say my voice cracking.

I can tell it hurts her when my voice cracks but she keeps packing.

"Jen," I plea grabbing her wrist.

"Josh, just let me go. I don't need to deal with Cl-" Jen stops herself and widens her eyes and I realize Claudia's behind this.

"Claire! I don't need to deal with Claire!" She says nervously.

"No, I know you meant Claudia!" I say getting mad at that skunk bag.

She sighs.

Jen tells me everything. She tells me how Claudia came over, and all the things she said to her.

"That's it, I'm breaking up with her!" I decide.

"Josh, I think you should stay with her," Jen tells me biting her lip.

"What! I don't want to be with someone who threatens my friends," I say.

"Yeah, but just realize, we're JUST friends," She tells me.

I nod along. I don't want to accept it, but I will.

"Ladies and Gentleman this is your pilot speaking, please buckle up as we are about to land," The pilot announces.

"Lets meet up before we leave," Jen says.

"Promise?" I ask.

"Promise."
