I arrive at headquarters only to reveal my Commander waiting for me. I try and walk around him but it's no use, he's too fast.
"So, how was school? Did you find your target? Did you get the information? Did you have to make him bleed?"
"Super, yes, no, and no."
"What?! Why haven't you interrogated him yet?!"
"These things take time. I can't just go around kidnapping everybody we don't like. It takes preparation and planning."
"You are an assassin! You are perfectly capable of taking one kid!"
"Look I'll do it soon."
"Good this needs to be done."
I make my way out of his path as fast as I can. I make my way to my quarters without any other interference.
After what I estimate to be around a half an hour of preparation for the club, I am finally ready. As I make my way down the corridor, I am stopped by none other than the Commander.
"Where are you off to?"
"I'm blending in."
"Be more specific."
"I am going to a club."
"Oh well in that case, I have a target I want you to eliminate. We have been watching a man named Daniel Redan, he'll be at a club downtown. Your mission is to go there, find Daniel, get past his guards, and eliminate him without anyone suspecting you."
"I will not fail you Commander."
"I know."
A beeping sound starts occurring in my pocket. Carrie texted that she'll meet me at the club. That leaves less work for me.
I arrive at the club. The bouncer gives me a judging look and instead of backing down I glare right back at him. After what seems like hours, he lets me pass. Once I enter the club, I see Carrie chatting up a guy near the bar. God, I don't think I can deal with her right now. I try and maneuver around her and find Daniel. Out of the corner of my eye, I see a familiar face. Kai Waters. This would be the perfect setting to kidnap him. Unfortunately, my Commander will have my head if I don't kill his target first. Suddenly, I spot Daniel drinking a beer at the bar. Around him are around six guards. I decide my best chance of getting him alone is to try and flirt with him. I walk to the bar and sit on the stool next to his. Just as I am about to speak, the guard stops me.
"You'll have to sit somewhere else ma'am."
Rats. I'm going to have to work my way around this.
"Oh come on I'm not doing any harm," I say fluttering my eyes at the guard.
"I'm sorry but..."
"Joel, just let the lady sit."
Daniel has excused his guard, this puts me one step closer. Time to get on his good side. Before I can say something, he makes the first move.
"What's someone as pretty as you doing here alone?"
"I'm making friends," I say with a smirk.
"Well maybe we can be friends," he says this with a smile that shakes me to my core.
He grabs my wrist and leads me out of the back door of the club. We end up in an alley, this is perfect for eliminating him. He pushes me against a wall and holds me there. His face approaches mine, he whispers in my ear,
"Let's be friends."
I decide to make my move, as I am about to move out of his grasp he falls to the ground with a thud. Once his figure is gone, there stands a young man holding a broken beer bottle. It's Kai.
