The letter, once again, blew my mind away. I continued on with my daily routine and went to English to read. I'm currently reading Harry Potter and I'm absolutely in love with this world of magic.
"Where's that friend of yours, darling?"
"In the bathroom so don't even think of taking his seat." I responded
"What have I done to make you want to deprive me of your feisty attitude?" Atticus pouted
I rolled my eyes, waving him away. I almost cheered when Scott came strolling through the door. He pushed Atticus away before taking his seat.
"Val says hi." Scott hummed
"I should give her a call." I stated
"She'd appreciate that a lot." Scott replied
Atticus was still standing in front of us and it was getting quite bothersome. Couldn't he realize that he wasn't needed here? But, nevertheless, I ignored his presence.
"Take a seat, Atticus." Mr. J instructed
Atticus left and I let out a breath of relief. Well, for a moment until Mr. J ruined it.
"Projects with partners! I've already chosen your partners so don't ask." Mr. J informed
I just prayed that Mr. J was kind enough to pair me up with Scott. After all, it'd be the easiest thing to do.
"You and your partner will have to create a presentation on The Great Gatsby. It's not due for another two months. Now, about those partners." Mr. J said
I zoned out a bit as I waited to hear my name. Pair after pair were called but still not my name.
"Jesy and Atticus."
Someone kill me now.
