I skipped school yesterday, convincing my parents that I wasn't feeling well and planned on staying in bed all day today. I didn't have the energy to face anybody quite yet. I turned off my phone so I wouldn't have to worry about texts and calls. I knew that Scott and Leah would be concerned but I really needed to be alone for a while.
"Jesy, I'm sending someone up!" Mom yelled
I groaned, waiting for this mystery person to come in. I really wish that nobody came by but I was betting that Leah stopped over. The door opened and I was shocked to see Atticus. He didn't say anything as he sat down next to me on the bed. He grabbed the remote, turned the TV up a bit and pulled me to him.
"What are you doing?" I whispered
"You're still upset from Thursday. You don't have to talk about it but you need someone with you. Now, shush, and watch the movie." Atticus replied
I didn't argue with him and just relaxed. It wouldn't be too bad.
