"Atticus, there's others at our spot." I frowned
"It's alright. I know them." Atticus assured. "I figured you'd need more than just me."
"Alright." I nodded
Three others were sitting at our place outside during study when we got there. I was a bit nervous to meet some of Atticus' friends. I sat down next to Atticus, grabbing his hand. It become a habit whenever I was nervous or upset.
"Jesy, these are my friends. Jameson, Eric, and Guy." Atticus informed
"Hi." I muttered
After a bit of awkwardness, we started to talk as if we had been friends for years. I felt more comfortable with them than I ever have with anyone else.
"Jesy!"
I let out a puff of air as I was tackled. I laughed as Atticus was soon tackled after me.
"Hey, Lacy." Atticus smiled
"Mom brought you two ice cream! I told her that you guys would appreciate it." Lacy said just as mom reached us
I took my cone and so did Atticus.
"Thanks mom." Both of us hummed
Mom got tired of the whole ma'am thing from Atticus and forced him to call her mom as well. He felt a bit a bit weird at first but not anymore.
"Are you coming for dinner, Atticus? We're ordering Chinese." Mom said
"Of course he's coming. He has no choice." I laughed
"Alright, see you both later. C'mon, Lacy." Mom replied
They left and Atticus raised an eyebrow at me.
"We both know that you would've said you would be there so shut up." I scoffed
He chuckled, shaking his head. He reached over and swiped at my nose. My face burned, realizing that I had ice cream on me. What a mess.
"Wow, already calling her mom?" Jameson teased
"She refused to let me call anything else." Atticus defended
"You'll be in the same boat if we start hanging out a lot." I shrugged
