After kissing Elijah, that was the only thing she had thought about, unfortunately. How good it felt to have him so close to her, how complete she felt when they kissed. It was hard to stay angry when she was basically lusting after Elijah again. But she was also angry with herself, she made it so easy for him to kiss her, barely putting up a fight. That was how it had always been though, it had always been hard for Natalia to resist Elijah's charms.

They way he carried himself, the way he spoke, his dress, even his smell had always called out to her. When she was human it was hard to curb her desire for him. At the time she was only Rebekah's friend, and she didn't think it would be right for her to think about her brother in such a way. But over time, the dynamic between Elijah and Natalia had changed. They found themselves speaking more often to one another, even spending time together.

And one night everything changed.

Natalia just got to her apartment after closing up Rousseau's. It was a long day and she was glad to be home, this was the favorite part of her day. Natalia immediately went to her balcony outside of her bedroom where she found Elijah waiting for her.

"Hey," she greeted him happily.

Elijah turned around and gave her a smile, "hello."

She and Elijah had been meeting like this almost every night for the past two weeks.

"You didn't come by yesterday, everything okay?"

Elijah let out a small sigh. "It is now."

Natalia could easily tell that something was off with him.

"You seem distraught," she put a comforting hand on his arm. "Talk to me."

Elijah looked back at her and then did something unexpected, he reached up and cupped her cheek and stroked it softly.

The gesture alone warmed Natalia's heart, and the small gasp didn't go unnoticed by Elijah.

He let himself stare at her, taking the moment in.

And then he leaned in and kissed her softly.

And the rest is history, and will stay history, Natalia reminded herself. She shook the memory out of her head and continued on.

She was meeting Hope again for lunch and she had just left the hotel. But something, was nagging at her today. Natalia had the strong urge not to leave her hotel, which was odd. She chalked it up to having jitters after her run-in with Elijah.

She should've listened to her gut.

Natalia was halfway there when she felt a rush of wind, before she could respond she felt the pinprick of a needle pierce her neck and then she was out.

Hope had waited almost an hour for her aunt, and it was safe to say she was officially worried. She decided to make her way back to the compound, she had a terrible feeling about Natalia. They have been doing lunch everyday since she had been back, and she knew that if something had come up her aunt would have let her know.

Hope got back to the compound and immediately shouted for her mom, who appeared quickly in front of her.

"What's wrong?"

"It's Natalia, she never showed up for lunch. Mom, I have a really bad feeling."

Hayley knew better then to question Hope, if she thought something was wrong, then something was truly wrong. Klaus and Elijah were both in earshot of the conversation and immediately turned their attention to Hope.
