I Can't Help Falling In Love With You

Chapter 3: Wishes

(Dawns POV)

Aaron drives the car out of McDonalds and heads for station street where the metro plaza was located which happens to be near the Star Cove Train Station. See Star Cove was a small city not like your typical Sydney or London or New York, it was more like an urban city near a breathtaking cove that would glisten an amazing shade of blue covering the cove. The beaches were fantastic to swim in, no sharks have been reported here before kinda strange, to be honest.

Aaron parks in the parking near the fountain which was open in the mornings, the fountain was classified as a wishing fountain. It was built over the summer holidays and is now a great spot to visit, especially with a loved one.  We hop out of the car, the sun shines brightly on my lightly tanned face my cheeks start to warm up with red from the warmth of the sun. I feel Aaron wrap his right arm around my shoulder, my heart starts to light up like a Christmas tree for the first time in a long while. As we walk over to the wishing fountain, I take out a gold one dollar coin from my pocket, Aaron does the same. I love the fact he's my best friend, I couldn't ask for a better one, he could never be replaced.

I place the coin on my the top of my thumb and my index finger and flick the coin into the fountain as I did this I wish for Aaron and I would become an item, a couple, an actual couple who loves and cares about each other. I look over to Aaron and see him smiling at me, I flash a quick smile at him and then pinch his nose with my right hand. It makes him lightly blush, I see his cheeks go rose red, which he then grabs me by the waist and pulls me closer to him.

(Aaron's POV)

I grab her by the waist, pulling her closer to me once again just like earlier today back at my house and at McDonald's. I whisper in her cute, adorable little ears, " Hey.. you promised that we would be back in this same position again." I could tell that she was annoyed by this comment, she then twists her body around to face me, while my hands are still around her waist. I see the sun twinkling in her eyes, it sparks an ember in my heart which lights up my whole body with a fiery passion. "D-Dawn..?" I nervously ask. "Y-Yes..A-Aaron?" She replies back. There's a short pause that seemed to last forever until I ask her, " S-So what did you wish for?" I notice that her cheeks go crimson as I asked her. Soon after she replies with, "umm that I do well this year in assignments and tests as well pass the exams at the end of year.. what did you wish for?" I blush intensely before replying, "Oh umm just the same as you." I giggle nervously. In actually fact I wished that Dawn and I get together this year, I can't believe after all these years she's still the one.

While holding her, my phone decides to ruin the moment alone I have with her and I reluctantly check my phone. Great.. Now I have to check out who messaged me which means I have to let go of Dawn... UGH! This bites. I let go of her, sticking my hand in my pocket and grab out my iPhone 6s. I glance at the screen before realising that it's a message from Owen Parker, my best friend. He's been there for me since third-year high school, he was in my class for that year and ever since then we've got each other's back. The message reads, "Hey bro, I'll be at school earlier than usual, mind coming in early? See you soon." I smile at his message soon after I reply with, "Hey bro yeah I'll see you soon." before asking Dawn who's now staring at the fountain display once more. "I wonder what's on her mind?"

I call out to her as I did she turns to face me before asking, "Yeah what's up?". She has that incredible smile of hers, so welcoming, so extraordinary, so stunning. I snap back into reality and ask her, " Hey umm you alright to school earlier than we planned, I mean I don't really want to be late for our first day of our last year?" I flash a sweet smile at her before she states, " Really? Is that all? Or is it because Owen texted you and now you feel bad because he's gonna be there on his own feeling lonely for you're not there and he doesn't have a girlfriend as well as that the others aren't there yet?" My heart is about the explode with merriment when she said that. I love the fact she knows me that well, I'm still surprised that she knows me THIS well. "So it seems like Ms Dawn Summers knows me a little too well?" I retort, she afterwards giggles. "Well you are right, we don't have to go if you don't want to I'm only suggesting" I assure her, she stares at me with intensely looking before she replies, " Yeah of course, as long I'm with you AND you keep me safe." "Of course beautiful, you're my first priority," I say sweetly before winking at her. She crosses her arms in the most adorable way and her rolling her eyes once again. "This is soooo adorable, she's so perfect I wish she was my girlf- you know what fuck it yes I wish she was mine, I wish she was my girlfriend, no one in the world could take her place... EVER"

I grab her hand with a loving and firm grip, she gasps as I pull her towards my car which was still parked near the fountain. I grab the car door and it swings wide open, she thanks me with the most delightful tone I've heard. Now on the way to school, she bumps up the radio which the song "Galway Girl" Is playing. I haven't seen her this happy with me for a while now not since the beginning of the holidays.

I park in the car in Star Cove High parking area which right now isn't really full, the other "cooler" cars weren't there yet, I called them this because they were owned by the bad boy jocks and dumb sluts of the school. Spoilt little brats I nicknamed them, I always thought they deserved to be called this. However, as sweet and as considerate of Dawn, she would always scold me for it when I would mention or call them by that "Spoilt little brats".

When stepping out of the car and start to head for the school entrance I hear Dawn say, "Don't even think about it.." while she's staring me down. I flash her an I-don't-know-look which she then responds with, "You know what I mean, the nickname you call the "popular" kids.." speak of the devil... "Well, I wasn't going to say anything, sweetheart," I reply back. She shakes her head in disappointment before she hugs me. I hug her back, after a minute of hugging she leans in and gives me a kiss on the cheeks. I try my best to conceal my scarlet cheeks, Dawn then whispers into my ear, "Welcome back to school, Mr Limaza." She runs towards the entrance of the school but not before winking at me. "Boy, this gonna be a someday.. but that was AMAZING!"

As I catch up to Dawn by chasing after her I spot her just outside the entrance door where suddenly my heart sinks... My heart feels like an arrow just pierced it or that a Dementor from J.K Rowling's Harry Potter just walked past me and consumed the happiness from me. I feel weak, heavy, and incomplete distraught as my eyes gaze upon the last thing I wanted to see today, Dawn... Dawn, no way I can't believe it, I can NOT believe who she's talking to but it's him, it's definitely him. No! It can't be him... she's talking to...
