Chapter 5: Megan's Question

(Aaron's POV)

I'm standing the gym watching Dawn talking off her best friends ears off, Bella's probably already tired of hearing her voice and Alex is probably wishing that her boyfriend Lorenzo was here to stop Dawn from talking too much. Owen and I are relaxing comfortably on the indoor bleachers, watching the girls catch up when speaking of the jolly, loving athletic bastard himself.. Lorenzo. "HEYY! What's up me Lads?" Enzo greets Owen and I. I shake Enzo hands and reply with, "Nothing much brother." "Yeah, nothing too brah." Owen also replies. Enzo joins us sitting downing now we're catching up on what he did in the holidays. He tells us he went on a trip with Alex to his families holiday house and spent most of the holidays down the coast.

The girls were halfway coming towards us when the gymnasium doors fly open, then they came. The "popular" girls who are complete sluts walk in, presenting Katie, Laura, Sammy, Megan and their Class A colossal thunder bitch of a leader... Serena Sextone. Okay so not all of them were sluts.. if I'm completely honest, Megan was the only one who was decent to talk too. She's not like the others, I don't even know why she would consider them to be friends because she at the opposite end of the spectrum compared to the others.

Serena takes a good glance at me which then she yells out, "HEY AARON!". I see her winking after, I feel like throwing up. I immediately roll my eyes however she's now making her way towards me, her posse follows her like moths being attracted to the light. They're standing at the bottom the bleachers looking up at us three boys, I notice that Megan interlocked eyes with me for a split second right before she turns away blushing. "Whoa..was Owen right?". "So.." I start the convocation while looking at all of them, "What would you guys want?" Serena starts to cackle which afterwards she ensures me, "Nothing hot stuff, we were just looking at the steamy show." I sigh before letting her know, "Look, Serena, let's save us both you and I the trouble of letting me say that We...Are..Never...Gonna..Happen!" Serena looks like the colour in her was sucked out, her jaw open like she just saw her boyfriend dump her.

"Well, thanks for letting me know Aaron but we came here on Megan's behalf." I take another glance at Megan who's completely scarlet in the face right now. "Why exactly?" I ask the group at the bottom the stairs. They all look at each other when I finally hear Megan speak to me which hasn't happened in a while now, "U-Umm A-Aaron would you like to hang out today.. y-you know at recess or l-lunch?". I say silence glaring at her, I think about what Owen said to me earlier and it's not like a date or anything besides Dawn and I aren't a thing so it can't hurt... "Right? I mean yeah sure Dawn kissed me but..we're not a thing so". I flash a smile at her then answer with, "Yeah sure Megan, I would like to get the chance to know you better considering we don't really talk much and when we do it's usually awkward small talk, so I'm in." Megan squeals with excitement and runs up the stairs as fast as probably the Flash and give me a tight ass hug which afterwards she thanks me. Megan then heads down the stairs and walk away smiling with her group, I wave goodbye which then the boys look at me with "confusion" written all over on their faces.

"What?" I ask them, their faces still stained with confusion. "Well.." Owen starts to say, "Well?" I ask back. "Well okay so.. why exactly did you say that to Megan?" Owen asks me. "Well bro like you said earlier I should give her a chance and that's exactly what I'm gonna do, give Megan a chance." The two hooligans cheer wildly like kids watching the circus for the first time. "That's our Bro!" The two shout at me, I laugh my head off which then the two start to join me in laughing.

(Dawns POV)

I stare away from the girls for a split second when I see the most heartbreaking moment of the day, Megan hugging my best friend and secret crush... Aaron! As the Serena and her posse walk away, I tell the girls that we should head back to the guys. "Ooo is someone missing her honey bunny?" I drop my jaw before firing back, "Omg Bella you're such bitch." Alex then adds on, "Ooo you know Dawn you didn't technically say not that though sooo." I fill up with frustration before shouting at a volume only they could hear, "Omg not you too Alex I swear your percentage of being a bitch on a daily basis is ninety-five percent." Soon after all we all start to laugh our heads off, then suddenly Aaron hugs me from behind. I turn to him which he asks me, "Hey Dawn, would it be okay if I hang out with Megan today just for lunch?" My heart becomes heavy like that scene from Aladdin where he's slowly drowning when the guards threw him off the cliff and into the ocean. I respond with, "Umm yeah sure no worries." I put on a fake smile to hide it from him, we're not dating so there shouldn't be a problem with it. Right?

Before I or in fact, anyone could say a word the school bell rings for homeroom, I walk with the group to each other's homeroom. I say my goodbyes to everyone when it's Aaron's turn I hug him goodbye, as I leave he grabs my hand and pulls me into his arms and mutters, "Hey don't worry about Megan okay, it's just lunch and knows you'll always be my girl okay." My heart flutters with happiness, I answer back, "Hmm okay thanks, Aaron." I smile at him sweetly then make my way to my homeroom.
