Chapter five

Joey's POV
Pretend I skipped time and now it's time for Daniel to meet joeys family...
I woke up and ran over to Daniel's room and hopped on top of him.
He whined "What?"
I said "Let's go we should start getting ready."
He said "I already packed my bag."
I said "The plane leaves in half an hour."
He shot out of bed and got dressed and I did the same then we got into the car.
He said "I put he luggage in last night."
I said "Ok."
We got to the airport and made it just in time we checked in and then got onto the plane.
As soon as we got on I took some Xanax and fell asleep.
Daniel woke up up when we landed.
We got off the plane and I saw my mom and my dad and my sister and my brother.
I said "There they are."
We walked over to them and my dad said "And this is?"
I said "Dad, this is Daniel."
He said "And what is he to you?"
I said "J-just a friend."
He said "Oh."
We walked to their car and we got in.
Nicole said "So we moved since last time we saw you."
I said "Oh."
Jett just started playing on his iPad.
My mom said "So Daniel, what do you do?"
Daniel replied "Oh, I'm a lawyer."
My mom said "Oh wow, your kind of young."
Daniel said "Yeah"
Once we got to their house Daniel tried to help me out but I shook my head no.
I got out and grabbed my bags. We got inside and my dad took the bags upstairs.
My dad said "Well we have to go shopping for tomorrow, so Nicole and Jett will stay here with you guys."
I said "Ok."
They left and Nicole said "Joey is he your boyfriend?"
I said "No."
I could feel Daniel getting mad.
Then my dad walked back in and said "You mom wants to go on her own."
I said "Ok."
Me and Daniel walked over to the couch and sat down.
My dad said "So Daniel, how do you know my son."
I did not want him to tell me Dad anything.
Daniel said "Well it was a long day at work and I wanted to go to a bar and I went to Joey's and I asked for whiskey and well I guess the rest is history."
My dad nodded and said "So you drink?"
Daniel said "I guess."
My dad said "Let me get you a glass."
I said "No, I think he's fine."
My dad looked at me and said "Whatever."
My dad walked into the kitchen and told me to follow him.
He said "Joey I will not have anything going on with you two in my house."
I said "nothing is going on, he's just a friend."
He said "Joey I swear to god if anything is happening-."
I said "Nothing is happening."
He said "Go back to him."
I sat down next to him and he said "Everything ok?"
I said "Yeah."
I could tell he wanted to hold my hand or something.
I knew he wanted to say something to my dad.
But he didn't and I was so thankful for that.
Hours later my mom came home and she said "Hey why don't you guys go around town, I'll be getting ready for tomorrow."
I said "Ok."
Me and Daniel walked outside and we walked around the corner.
Daniel yelled "Why can't you just tell him!"
I said "I told you why."
He sighed "Whatever."
Then Nicole came out of no were and said "I knew it!"
I said "Knew What?"
She said "Joey I'm not dumb, so he is your boyfriend."
Daniel grabbed my hand and said "Yes."
I said "Daniel."
My sister said "You guys are freaking adorable."
I said "Please don't tell him."
She said "I won't but you will."
We all walked around talking about things and then it started to get late so we started to walk back.
I saw someone's car pull in the driveway.
Then I saw my aunt she waved and said "Oh hey Joey."
I said "Hi."
Then she said "Oh and Nicole!"
She hugged us then said "And this is?"
Daniel said "I'm Daniel, Joey's b-"
I nudged him and he said "I'm Joey's Friend."
She saw "Well ain't that sweet of you to bring your friend along."
I smiled sweetly and we walked inside.
We saw my dad drinking and watching football on the couch.
My dad said "Hey."
I said "Hi."
My mom said "Get some sleep sweetheart."
I said "I will."
I walked upstairs then Daniel said "I'm going to stay up for a bit."
I said "Ok."
