I woke up to my alarm clock buzzing in my ear. I turned it off and sat up, rubbing my eyes. I quickly got ready for my first day of school, putting on my usual t-shirt and black jacket. I grabbed my binder and walked out the door, waving bye to my mother. When I got on the street there was another teen with pitch black hair and the same colored jacket. His shoes were the same color and his pants were blue jeans. He glanced at me and smiled a little, making me lower my gaze blushing. He looked back at the street while a man wearing a brown leather jacket and having short brown hair as well. He walked over and said something inaudible to the other teen while I continued walking towards the school. I kept walking while staring at the ground before tripping over something and falling onto the ground. "Oh my gosh I'm so sorry!" Said a voice behind me. I stood up rubbing my head and turning around to face the tripper. There stood another boy that had grayish hair and lantern colored eyes. Next to him was a girl with light brown hair and goldish eyes. "That was my binder, I'm so sorry," Said the girl, grabbing my binder and handing it to me.

"It's ok, it only stings a little," I muttered as they both stared at me.

"Are you the kid at the new house?" The boy asked in a more demanding and serious tone.

"Y-yes," I muttered as well, staring at my feet.

"No wonder I didn't recognize you!" The girl exclaimed, grabbing my arm with a smile. "That grouchy behind me is Jake, I'm Destiny, and the two behind us is Luke and grizzly." I nodded with a soft smile.

"Well I'm Luna."

"Nice to meet you," She said with a smile. "What is your class room?"

I took out my schedule. "Uh, it is room 356."

"That means we all have the same class!" She pulled me into a tight hug while Jake behind me just rolled his eyes with a soft smile of amusement. I didn't hug her back, just let her hug me until she let go. On a way to class I looked across the street to someone running towards us.

"Wait up!!" He shouted, he got to the curb and tripped. He tripped and I giggled a little before I walked up to him.

"Are you ok?"

"Yes I'm fine I told you not to-" He began before looking up at me and realized that I was someone new and he stopped himself. "I mean thank you." I giggled again and he stood up, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly.

"That is James," Destiny said with a smile as she rolled her eyes. I giggled again. We all went to class and I sat down in the back, the others spreading out. Luke sat next to me and the rest of the group spread out. We waited for the bell to ring. As soon as the bell rang a girl burst into the room.

"I'M NOT LATE!" She shouted, huffing. The teacher just rolled her eyes and looked down at the paper. Luke grinned a little while I stared at the girl confused. He noticed I looked confused so he moved over.

"That's Ronnie," He whispered with a smile, looking back at the board. The teacher finished attendance and looked around with a smile.

"Today you will talk with a partner about who you are. Begin." I was going to go to Destiny when I looked over and Luke was already pushing his desk next to mine.

"Well hello ma'am," Said Luke with a joking grin. I just smiled and shrugged, grabbing a muffin from my bag. We talked for the whole hour until the lunch bell ran. I quickly gathered my stuff when Grizzly walked up to me.

"You going to the cafeteria?" He asked with a slight blush on his face, his black eyes shimmered in the light.

"If you want," I said with a smile. He blushed some more and I followed him to the cafeteria. We sat down at one of the tables that was empty. Soon, the cafeteria was full of 10th graders and our table was still empty except me and Grizzly. I felt Grizzly lean against me and when I looked over he corrected himself and blushed. I giggled then the lunch bell rang and we both walked out. What a great first day. I thought as I walked home.  Maybe once I put my stuff away i'll check out that forest.
