Caught Up In The Moment But Not In The Right Way (JALEX) chapter 3

I ran back to the hotel and got up to the room I was sharing with Alex as fast as I could. I covered my face with my hands and slid down against the wall, letting out an irritated groan as I went down. I banged my head softly against the wall. Great. Just fucking great. This is not how I want to tell my best friend I'm in love with him......not now, anyways.

Alex barged in a few minutes later with a big goofey grin on his face. Now was a good a time as any to tell him.

"Jack!" "Alex!" We both said at the same time.

Alex chuckled. "You first."

I shook my head. "No, you go ahead,"I said.

"Okay! Guess who I just got off the phone with!" He didn't give me any time to answer. "Okay it was one of the guys from Interscope and they said that one of their executives heard our new album and loved it! He wants us to make a new album ASAP! Don you know what this means?!" Alex was pretty much bouncing with excitement but there was just one detail that he seemed to be overlooking.

"Wait a second, Alex. Did you just say new album? As in.... newer than the album that we put out last fucking week?!"

Alex smiled and nodded. He still wasn't getting it.

"Are you stupid?!"I said a little bit louder than necessary.

Alex took a step closer to me and put his hand on my arm. "Jay, this is huge. Do you know what this could mean for All Time Low? The kids are gonna be thriled for us!"

I frowned. "Of course the kids will be thrilled! But they're also gonna want us to rest a little bit. We want them to enjoy this new album before we get them all excited about this new-new album. And besides, they're gonna want a tour. Its just too much, Alex. I know this is a big deal but not for right now."

Alex looked at me like I was some disgusting creature. "What's wrong with you, Jack? I thought you would be happy about this!" Alex's voice was getting louder with every word.

I pulled at my hair, letting all my frustration out. "ALEX! I AM HAPPY! BUT WE CAN'T DO THIS RIGHT NOW! AND WHATS WRONG WITH ME?! WHATS WRONG WITH YOU? WE RELEASED AN ALBUM LAST FUCKING WEEK AND YOU WANT TO WORK ON ANOTHER ONE RIGHT NOW?! YOU'RE REDICULIOUS!" I yelled at him. I felt tears pricking at my eyes and I did my best to push them back down for as long as I could. But Alex's next words were like a slap in the face.

"Maybe we should do this new album without you then,"He said calmly.

I felt the tears slide down my cheeks. "Alex....wait. I-I'm sorry,"I said in between sobs. I had no reason to be sorry though. Alex was being rediculious and he just wasn't seeing that. I had every right to lose my temper.

Alex shook his head. "I just need some time to think, Jack."

And with that he walked out of the room and slammed the door behind him. I stood there for a couple of seconds just staring at the door, trying to figure out what had just happened.

"Oh and by the way. I'm in love with you, Alex,"I said quietly to no one. Well it was to someone but he wasn't around to hear it and it was probably the last thing he wanted to hear right now anyways. He probably hate me but that didn't change a thing. I love him more than he could ever hate me.
