58~incident

Christine's pov

"Wow, it's such a coincidence we keep meeting here."

I know that voice. I looked up and saw Kevin with his mom and sister.

I stood up and bowed.

"Hello Mrs. Tran and Leah."

"It's nice seeing you here Christine." She laughed. "How come you're here today?"

"I'm just with my friends and you?"

"I have to take Kevin out. He couldn't go anywhere alone since the last incident."

"Incident?"

"It's been a long time since we've met. Kevin's dad would love to see you again. Actually we're having a party. You should come. It's this Saturday at 5. "

"You should come. I know! Let's go shopping before the party. Meet me at Vaughan mills at 2 on Saturday!" Leah said cheerfully.

"Well we'll see you there." Mrs. Tran laughed and I started to fake laugh.

They started to walk out the door. Kevin still kept his eyes on me.

I took a big breath and sat back down.

Aera and Cheol came back following by Namjoon, Yoongi and Hoseok.

"I'm guessing the rest is still getting food." I sarcastically laughed.

"What's wrong with you? You look like someone sucked your life away." Hoseok said cutting his meat.

I took a deep breath and shook my head. "Nothing."

I saw an arm extending and plate of food was placed in front of me.

"Thank you." I said to Jungkook.

"No problem."

"That's weird. He didn't ask me anything. He always knows if there's something wrong with me... Wait... Is there something wrong anyways? No..." I thought to myself.

I started to eat while rocking Jangmi to sleep.

We talked and talked. Laughter filled the air.

I was happy here.

"I'm full." I said holding Jangmi in my arms.

"Awe. But let's share dessert." Jungkook said pouting.

"Okay... A few." I giggled.

"Dessert already?" Jin asked shoving another piece of meat in his mouth.

Jungkook came back with a piece of cake and some fruits.

"So uhm... when are you guys leaving?" I asked eating the fruit.

"Tuesday." Hoseok answered.

I bent over to Jungkook's ear.

"I uhm... I'm going to a party this Saturday." I said not to loud for the others to hear.

"With who?" He said in a low voice.

"Leah's family invited me."

"Who's Leah?" He said and ate a fruit.

"It's my friend."

I didn't want to go because Kevin was there. But what am I gonna do with Leah? Poor girl going to be waiting there for me.

"And... And Kevin is going to be there." I gulped.

He pressed his lips together.

"I know Jungkook, you really don't like him but what am I gonna do with Leah? She told me to meet her at Vaughan mills and--"

"Leah is his sister?" He cut me off.

"Yes, older sister. She want me to get clothes with her." I calmly said looking down.

"And you know I'm coming right? There's no way I'm not letting you go there by yourself."

I smiled. Jungkook would go anywhere with me if or if not invited.

I kissed his cheek and interlocked our fingers together.

We continued to eat our fruits and cake.

I always feel safe when I'm with Jungkook.

"We're home." I said as me and Jungkook entered the house with Jangmi in my arms.

I fed Jangmi and put her to sleep.

Jungkook was also resting in our room and I walked downstairs when I heard my parents talking.

"He's crazy and he can't get close to Christine." I heard my dad.

"I know he was released from the mental hospital yesterday but--" I heard my mom.

"But what? He hurt you..." Said my dad.

"It was an incident that happened a year ago." Mom said.

They were whispering but I heard them loud and clear.

"Who are we talking about?" I walked in.

"No one." My mom said and went back to cutting onions.
