Part 3

 - 10:23 p.m.

A'Jai looked at the time on her cell phone and realized her twin sister still wasn't home yet plus their mom was downstairs bugging out because she had no idea where Aria was and she wasn't answering the phone for her. Aria never pulled something like this before, this was something new to them all and A'jai was gonna get to the bottom of it even if Maranda didn't. Aria was usually home doing homework or getting ready for school for the next day, but today something changed her plans and A'jai wasn't feeling it. They had just talked about this earlier before Aria jumped in the car with her friends from school, had she knew this was gonna happened she would have never let her go in the first place.

     About Fifteen minutes later, the house door opened and in walked Aria like everything was suppose to be normal and she wasn't walking through her mother's front door at almost Eleven at night.

"Where the hell have you been girl"? Maranda yelled popping up off the couch like a mad woman.

"I was out with the girl Ashley from my class we had a project together" Aria lied.

"So why couldn't you pick up ya phone and tell me that Aria you know better than this" Maranda fussed.

"Mom I'm sorry"Aria said in a soft voice.

"Aria please don't play with me right now... Why didn't you tell me that... I called you" mom said continuing to yell.

A'Jai felt as though she had to step in so she rushed down the steps and butted in.

"Mom she called me and told me she was gonna be late and she was with Ashley" A'Jai said standing at the bottom step, lying for Aria.

"And again Nobody thought to tell me that"? Maranda continued to fuss as she glared between the both of her daughters.

"Sorry Mom I lost track of time I was doing my homework and forgot to tell you... I'm sorry" A'Jai lied again. She had been finished her homework hours ago
before she got on the phone with Esha.

"Listen to my words... Don't do this again Aria I'm serious" Mom warned as she pointed her finger at Aria.

"Ok mom I won't" Aria said in a soft innocent voice.

Her and Ajai walked upstairs to Aria's room where A'Jai closed the door behind her. She looked at Aria with a mean mug on her face.

"Where was you Aria"? Now it was A'Jai's time to go in on her sister.

"You knew where I was" Aria said in a whisper voice as she sat down on her bed taking off her coat.

A'Jai put her hands on her hips "Mom grill me for hours cause you wasn't home... Come on Aria this ain't you don't start this shit".

"I'm not it was just tonight" Aria said removing her shoes.

A smile appeared on Ajai's face as she plopped down on the bed "Guess who I seen today"?

"Who"? Aria said sitting on her bed still with a Confused face.

"Gucc" A'Jai whispered.

Aria lit up like a Christmas tree "Forreal where he at"?

"He's back he was in the county... He been texting me all day" A'Jai said.

"Oh shit... So y'all gonna link up and get together now"? Aria asked.

"Girl... I don't know... Gucc may got hella girls... He's fine as shit now" A'Jai admitted thinking of how sexy he looked today.

"Umm... Yeah right you gonna be Gucc girl sooner or later I just see it" Aria said, she knew her sister's love for Gucc and she knew how he felt about her too.

         Later on that night:

Aria and A'Jai awoke to fussing coming from downstairs between their mother and Melvin. They both came out their rooms and walked downstairs to their mother Maranda and Melvin this Medium height cocky, lightskinned dude that she'd been messing with for years into a whole fist fight. Maranda was going upside his head as he tried to grab her into a bear hug. This was no surprise to the sisters, their mother was always fighting in the streets, with her man who ever when she felt disrespected.

"Get the fuck off me with ya lying ass" maranda yelled as she pushed Melvin and gave him one good punch to the face.

A'Jai ran over and Grabbed her Maranda while Aria Grabbed Melvin back. His face was a little scratched up, but nothing was compared to mom's busted lip and her left now purple swollen eye. I guess you could say that this time he didn't stand down, he got the best of her.

"Get out" Maranda yelled at Melvin as she pointed towards the door.

"What you mad for I told you what happened" Melvin said trying to compromise with mom.

" Get ya lying ass out.. what you think I'm stupid I know you spent the money to get high I'm not dumb" Maranda continued to yell as Melvin walked out the door.

"Mom what's wrong"? A'Jai asked trying to calm her down although it wasn't working.

Their mom was trembling and shaking with a wooden stick in her hand that she hit Melvin with a couple times.

"His dumb ass didn't pay the light bill and it's suppose to be cut off soon... I gave him the money to go down there earlier but he comes back with no receipt talking bout he got robbed down on belair road" maranda said still shaking with the wooden stick in her hand.

"Mom you should have gave it to me I would have paid it" A'Jai said in a low voice.

"I should have never trusted him I swear he always does shit like this" Mom said pacing the floor. Aria ran off to the bathroom and returned with a warm rag and a bag of frozen peas for her mother's swollen face.

"I need to go talk to him" she said heading to the door until A'Jai stopped her.

"Mom no... Look at ya face you don't need to talk to him he always putting his hands on you" A'Jai said trying to pull her mom from going outside.

"No I need to talk to him... Can you let me go... Let my arm go so I can talk to him see why he did this" was mom's last words before she yanked away from A'Jai and rushed outside.

For the next five minutes all the twins heard was their mom and Melvin fussing outside. But this was nothing new, Maranda was always chasing after Melvin who she had been with for years and he still did her wrong.
If he wasn't cheating he was stealing her money spending it to get high down on York Rd with his junkie ass cousin. He was Maranda's downfall and the twins knew it since they met him they watched as he brought their mom down. The fussing soon turned into the two of them coming in the house fucking the whole night to the point the twins could barely sleep. After that the twins made mental notes to never be weak like their mother.
