Chapter 17

          A'JAI

           
      We all sat at the table playing a hand of spades at our new chill back spot just enjoying the night with a few drinks and some fun. Lately me and Gucc had been doing good without any fussing or confusion. I hadn't had to deal with any females calling his phone or stepping to me like they were crazy and that all I wanted.

"Don't be cheating neither Gucc" Esha said holding her hand up close to her face so nobody could see.

"I ain't cheating nigga" Gucc said looking at his hand closely.

Him and A'Jai were on teams while Zane and Esha were on teams. A'Jai and Gucc we're winning so far it was seven to four by rounds.

Zane's Mom walked in with a beer in her hand and a lit cigarette in her other.
"What y'all in here doing"? She asked.

"Playing spades ma what it look like"? Zane asked as we all Chuckled at his smart comment.

She Glanced down at the notepad we kept score on and bursted out laughing "Look like you and Esha losing to me" she joked, but she was telling the truth we all were falling over laughing.

"Man hush ma... We got this shit" Zane said waving his mom off.

"Umm... Well I'll stand by and watch cause this is a ass whooping I'm dying to see" his mom joked again as she took a puff of her cigarette.

     We continued the game as she stood back and watched. Needless to say we bust their ass, no hands down. They wasn't no match for us and they knew it, we could beat them with our eyes closed.

                Aria

       At the party:

   In the mist of bullets flying, I was so caught up in the moment I didn't feel someone pull me up at first. I looked up to see Tammy pulling me outside towards a car parked down the street. We all was so confused we didn't know what the fuck happened all we heard was the girl Vita screaming about someone getting shot.

"Tammy what the fuck is going on"? I asked as my heart pounded fast in my chest.

Tammy had this shocked puzzle look on her face she looked just as Confused as I was. I looked down at the ground and seen little puddles of blood, someone must really got hurt smh can't never party without drama. I was just about to pull my phone out and call A'Jai when this brownskinned, slim dude who a small fro and two darkskinned boys one chunky and one slim came running up to us.

"Sage what happened"? Tammy asked the brownskinned boy who came running up.

"Man I don't fucking know let's get the fuck outta here" Sage said out of breath as he walked to the driver side door of the car.

They all walked to the car and was ready to get in except me. The brownskinned dude Sage stopped and looked at me with a Confused face. "What's wrong shawdy"?

" I gotta find David so I'mma holla at y'all" I said barely able to stand or focus because I was still tispy.

"Nah mama he cool you need to roll with us... I don't wanna just leave you here by yaself" Sage Said.

I looked him up and down then I looked at Tammy who nodded her head giving me the look that it was ok.

"We ain't gonna hurt you shawdy we just wanna make sure you get home safe" Sage said standing with the car door opened.

I inhaled deep and looked around for David but I didn't see him no where. I was starting to worry but they were right it wasn't safe for me to just stand around here and wait. I hopped in the backseat with the two dudes Tammy got in the front with Sage and he pulled off.

             David

I helped my homeboy get my other homeboy to the car so they could take him to the hospital. He was shot in his knee we helped him get in the backseat and they pulled off. This had turnt into a crazy ass night I just knew I wasn't going to anymore parties for a while. Meanwhile I was searching everywhere for Aria I called her phone several times but it went to voicemail each time. Then I remembered she came with Tammy so I knew she would be somewhere round her with her I started asking people but everybody said they didn't know where she was. I came running up to my boy Vince who was the dj here at the party he was cool with Tammy so I asked him.

"Yo you seen Tammy around here"? I asked.

"Yeah she just left" Vince said.

"Was another girl with her"?

Vince was in deep thought as his rubbed his chin "Yeah she was with a girl with a pink shirt on. They got in a car with that nigga Sage" he said referring to Aria,
she did have a pink belly shirt on.

It hit my brain quick, something wasn't right me and Sage didn't have beef but we didn't fuck with each other heavy. Why would she have left with him and she didn't even know him??? 

I called her phone again and it went straight to voicemail. That's when I started to worry because lately since we went the game that day Sage
had been acting funny. He been hanging with his cousin Risko and He was definitely a clown ass nigga. It was like Sage haad to be just like him or something and that shit wasn't cool with me. When you had to play hard in these streets when in reality you wasn't built like that was a problem to me. So for that reason, I kept my distance with Sage and  that's why I couldn't understand why Aria left with them.
