THE HUNGER GAMES ONE SHOTS

It was the day of the reaping for prim it was her very first reaping. After just turning twelve she was now eligible​ for the hunger games. Prim was terrified. She knew if she was picked she wouldn't stand a chance. Katniss her older sister told her since it was just her first time her name was in the girls reaping bowl only once.

Katniss was the savior of the family. After their father being blown to bits and her mother going in metal isolation katniss was prim's care taker. Both sisters got dressed. Prim goes to stand with the twelve year old girls. While katniss went to the sixteen years old girls. The reaping started with peppy Effie Trinket doing an introduction. After a quick handshake with Peeta and Prim they were ushered to their rooms. Katniss came into the room crying and begging for forgiveness. They both cried together until a capital card came to take Katniss away. Before Katniss was outside the door she threw a small pendent and said "May the odds be ever in your favor". Prim and Peeta were taken to the capital where they both were put on display and trained. Prim was trained with a small knife.

When the blood bath started prim was attacked by the careers. The career pushed a knife to her throat when suddenly his body went limp. She looked up to see her rescuer. Peeta had saved her. Peeta carried prim to safety and whispered in her ear "Don't worry Mockingjay you are going home".

As the weeks went on there were finally down to the last three. Peeta killed the career on top of the Cornucopia. Knowing that only one person can return home he gave prim a hug before he stabbed himself. Before he died prim asked him "why did you do this all for me peeta?". He stared at her for a second then answered "because your sister needs you".

Before he died he told Prim "goodbye Mockingjay tell your sister that I love her". He closed his eyes for the last time. Prim was crowned the Victor of the 74th Annual Hunger Games. She spent a week in capital before returning to District 12.
On the train home Prim realized if she could win the Hunger Games maybe she could change the ways of the capital. Maybe even change the games. As she got off the train she told herself "every Revolution starts with a spark".
