The day of the reaping for the 74th Annual Hunger Games in district 11 is as usual depressing. Anyone could feel the tension in the air of who would have the dreadful experience of going to the games. There in the group of twelve year old girls stood extremely frail and tiny Rue.
She was scared to death of going into the games. It was only her first year to be in the reaping. Soon the names where called and of course her name was called. Nobody volunteered for her. She was barely able to hold back tears. The boy that was chosen with her Thresh swore to protect her because of how innocent and tiny she was.
They arrived in the Capital and were dressed for the tribute parade. Since district elevens theme was agriculture Rue and Thresh we're dressed as farmers. The costumes didn't help getting sponsors. The first day of training she made allies with sixteen years old Katniss Everdeen from district 12. Now having two allies for the games she felt more confident.
For the interviews she was told to be adorable which to be honest came naturally to her. The first day of the games was chaos. She got chased by a career but was able to escape by climbing a tree which was her famous skill. Working with Katniss and Thresh they mainly hid in a cave by the river. One day
When they where walking in the forest Thresh was killed by a career which Katniss then killed.
Eventually they made it down to the final three. Rue,Katniss,And a career. Katniss easily killed the career with her bow and arrows. Now it was down to the two of them. Katniss gave Rue a hug and a kiss on the for head. Katniss took some nightlock that she had found and ate them killing herself.
Rue was declared victor of the 74th Annual Hunger Games. After staying in the Capital for a week. Rue got to go home. District 11 flourished. Rue was great full for everything and spent the rest of her life in District 11.
