Chapter 25

"Shut up Aiden, you make it sound like the kids are puppies or something" I playfully nudged his shoulder and swatted his chest with my left hand

Currently, we were on our way to the adoption agency, the same I came from, to look for a child. We were about to reach the destination in about 5 minutes and I couldn't be any more excited, I was finally going to have my own child, whether or not we were blood related.

"And, here" Aiden said parking the car in the closest available parking space to the agency

I couldn't help but feel nervous, my heart was pounding, and my stomach was tingling and I swear someone just turned on the heater in the car, I couldn't help but reach my fingers up to my mouth and chew viciously on my fingernails, Aiden grabbed my hand, and we made our way inside

"Goodmorning how may I help- Oh hello London how're you? and who is this handsome young man?" Ms.Miriam greeted me as I walked up to the counter

"Goodmorning Ms. Miriam, this is Aiden, my boyfriend" I smiled a little toward her

I looked over at Aiden and saw a smile on his face "Goodmorning" he waved at her

"Well, how may I help you both?" She politely asked us

"Uh, we're here to check out the kids, uh we're thinking of adopting" I smiled

"What gender are you guys heading towards?"

"We aren't sure yet" we looked at eachother "I don't think it really matters, but age most likely will" I turned back over to Miriam and smiled

"What age level are you going for?" she smiled

"Maybe from 8-15" I gave a weary smile

"Sure, I'll go along and check, Ill just be a moment" she said no judgement behind her voice knowing that the son would probably be clearly close to our age, but she'd never be rude about it

"Well, there's only about 5 kids the age you look for, would you like to meet them? Oh and one of them doesn't dare to leave without his twin from here, they have an inseparable bond" She smiles waiting for our reply

We look at one another briefly and then at the same time nod and say "Let's go for it" smiles obvious on our faces

We start walking and eventually Aiden and Miriam engage in conversation while I kept zoning out thinking about the twins, I start to wonder alot until I'm cut off with Miriam's slightly louder voice

"Firstly, this is little Jacob. he's 8, and can be independent at times" she said and for a while we talked to him, he really was a little cutie, he would surely be a ladies man.

"Second, this is little Emily, she's 10 and the sass queen of the entire house" she smiled and we also got a chance to speak with Emily as well. She came along with so much sass, I couldn't help but smile so wide. She kept letting me know that she was the cutest one in the house and then she showed me her runway walk and we played with her dolls, and we laghed together. She was a joy to be around.

"Next off, this is Elizabeth, our other little sass queen,  she's just like little Emily, but this ones 8" she smiled and she was so right, everything Emily told me, so did Elizabeth, sort of like they were sisters, but they looked completely different. Elizabeth was a blue eyed brunette, while Emily was a little blondie with big brown eyes.

"Lastly, here are the twins, this is Jessy, and his twin sister Jessica, they're 14" From there, we spent about 30 minutes speaking to the twins, I love how open, but yet closed up they were, kind of mysterious, I couldn't help but want to get to know them better

"Alrighty" Miriam said as we were walking into to an office "Did you like what you see? Ill give you two some time, cann me in when you're ready" she smiled walking out

The door closed and I talked "Did you like any?" I questioned Aiden

"Yeah, two" he smiled "What about you?"

"Yeah, I like one" I smiled "Who'd you like?"

"You first"

"No you" I argued back at him

"Same time on three" his smirk grew large

"One... Two... Three......"

Whoopsies cliff hanger, sorry. Btw sry for not updating earlier, slacked a bit.
