After processing what just happened, we finally calmed down enough to swim to surface. Luckily we were right next to a dock, unluckily it was boat rush hour. When we dodged all the boats a finally got to the shore we grabbed towels and started to dry off only to get wet again when Percy did his doggy shake off. When we dried off again Maya and I started talking in semi-calm voices trying to push down all the excitement. We tried discussing different ways to get to Long Island, none of them were smart, none of them were logical and all of them ended up with us dead. Just when we thought we were dead meat, stuck in London for the rest of our lives it came to me we should take a boat, this dock is FULL of them, how could we miss this incredibly obvious solution, BOATS. I looked at Maya, with head in her palms I could tell she felt hopeless so... I screamed in her face "BOATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
She looked confused for moment before I saw realization flash into her eyes, she too, had just realized that the answer was right in front of us, the boats.we ran back to the dock as fast as we could, there were only five boats left we had to get to the dock before all of them were gone, but in the hassle I bumped into someone, I turned around quickly to apologize but when I caught a glimpse of his face I instantly realized that familiar smile, it was Andrew one of my closest friends, my boyfriend, the person I missed the most after all the deaths caused by the tsunami. I couldn't help myself, I burst into tears and broke down sobbing right into his incredibly muscular shoulder. I guess he realized me right away too because he wrapped his hands around me, pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear " shhhh, Sofia, it's okay, we're together now."
