I leave to go live with my dad today. Him and my brothers should be here soon. The flight from New Orleans to Atlanta isn't that long. Maybe 2 hours. And then the drive from the airport to my house is only about 30 maybe 45 minutes.
I am in the shower now and i heard some voices out in the front room. I hurried and finished showering before hoping out. Then i remembered that i forgot to shave my legs. So i grabbed my razor and stuff and hopped back in the shower. As i was shaving my left leg, i felt the razor get caught on something. I pull it and continue shaving not even thinking about it. I then look down and all i see is red. Then my leg started to hurt. I grabbed one of the towels in my bathroom and held it on my leg.
Hakeem and the boys have just got here to pick Bri up because tomorrow i leave to go back overseas.
They all came in and spoke. I know all the boys because we have all been around each other for a long time. They all call me mama too. I have tried to be a mother figure to them since their mom passed away when they were all very young.
Hakeem-Where my baby girl at?
Me-She in the shower.
We sat there talking for a minute when i heard Bri scream out for me.
Brianna-MOM!!!!!
I got up and ran to the back because i know that this girl is accident prone and we don't know what happened.
When i went in her room, she was sitting on her bed holding a towel on her leg. A bloody towel.
Me-Brianna what did u do?
Brianna-I was trying to shave my legs and i cut myself.
Me-Alright u just sit there and hold that on your leg and I'll be right back.
She nodded and i ran back out to look in the cabinet where we normally keep all the peroxide and bandaids and things like that. When i saw that we didn't have any, i ran back out to the front room.
Hakeem-What's going on?
Me-Your child.cut herself while she was trying to shave her legs.
Hakeem-Is it bad? Do she need to go to the hospital?
Me-Its bad but she don't need to go to the hospital. But i do need for Trey and Zach to go to the Dollar Tree up the street and get some Peroxide, an antibiotic ointment if they have any, some big bandaids, gauze and the medical tape.
They nodded and left out to get it.
Me-Hakeem come with me. The rest of yall can watch tv in here and yall know its always food in the kitchen.
They all went in the kitchen to get some snacks and me and Hakeem went back to Bri room.
When we went in, she was bleeding kinda bad.
Hakeem-She need a new towel.
Bri looked over at us and her eyes lit up when she saw her dad.
Bri-Daddy.
She tried to get up and give him a hug but she couldn't cause she was bleeding.
He walked over to her and hugged her before taking the towel off her leg to look at the cut.
Hakeem-How the hell did u cut yourself like that Bri?
Brianna-I had was shaving and i felt the razor get caught on something but i pulled and kept shaving my left leg when it started to hurt and i looked down and saw i was bleeding.
He shook his head.
Trey and Zach got back with the peroxide and stuff and brought it back here to Bri's room.
Hakeem took the towel off her leg and poured some of the peroxide on it.
Then he got the antibiotic ointment and a q-tip and put that on there. Since it was still bleeding, he put the gauze on with the tape.
We all got up and walked out after that so that she could get dressed. __________________________________ Brianna POV
After my dad wrapped my leg up, they all left out so that i could get dressed.
I got up and walked over to my closet. I went in looking for me something to wear today.

I was trying to be comfortable today. Especially since i hurt my leg.
When i finished getting dressed, i put my hair up in a bun and went in the front room.
I seen all my brothers in here. I ran and jumped on Yasir since he was the closest one to me. Im so glad he caught me cuz i almost fell.
We all said hey and stuff and then just sat around chillin till it was time for us to leave.
We went and got in the car and then drove off to the airport. My dad has his own private jet so we just went straight through and boarded the plane.
By the time we got to NOLA, it was like 5:00. By the time we made it to our house, it was 5:45.
We all went in after my brothers grabbed my bags.
When i walked in the living room, my granddad was here. Grandma had passrd away 6 years ago.
It was hard on granddad because him and nana had been best friends since they were babies and they started dating when they were 15. They had been together for 6 years when they got married. And theu had been married for 30 years when nana passed away.
Granddad is 57 now. And my dad is 38. Im 14. Treyvon is 20. Zachary is 19. Andrew is 17. Jakhary is 16. Jahari is 15. Yasir is 13. And Keshawn is 12.
Granddad-Is that my granddaughter?
Me-Yes its me granddad.
Granddad-Well don't just stand over there. Come give me a hug.
I walked over to him and gave him a hug.
Me-I missed u granddad.
Granddad-I missed u too baby girl.
Yasir-Granddad u don't never hug us like that.
Granddad-Cuz i see yall everyday.
Its Sunday yall so tomorrow i start school here in NOLA. I am a freshman in high school. Im supposed to be in 8th grade but hey since my birthday early or sum i am a freshman.
We sat around chillin for a lil while before going out for dinner.
When we got home from dinner, everyone went to bed because they wither have work in the morning or they got school. In my case, its school. And i am definitely not looking forward to it.
