Chapter 3

Brianna POV

So my first day of school was pretty good. Since Lucas and i sit on different sides of the classroom in 7th hour, we was texting like the whole class. That teacher was about to take my phone.

When i got home, i had a lot of homework. We never had this much work at my old school. I wanted to take a study hall instead of Spanish 1 but my dad was not going for that. So yeah i have mainly honors with that Spanish class and then of course p.e. which is my favorite class.

I was laying here on my bed texting Lucas. I'm supposed to be doing my homework but its boring.

While i was texting him, my dad came in my room.

Dad-Ain't u supposed to be doing yo homework?

Me-Yes.

Dad-So why u not doing it?

Me-Uhhh...

At that moment, i got a text from Lucas.

Dad-Give me yo phone till u finish yo homework.

Me-But dad...u don't have to take it. I'll do my homework.

Dad-U can get it back after u finish doing what u need to do.

He held out his hand and i handed it to him. Then i went to my desk that was in my room with all my papers on it.

I did all my reading, algebra, and history first. Then i looked at my biology. It all looked very confusing so i went to Jahari room to see if he had did it so he could help me.

Me-Hari?

He looked up at me.

Jahari-Wassup?

Me-I need help on this biology homework.

We sat down and he explained what i had to do so i went and finished that then i went to find my dad so that i could get my phone back.

He was downstairs in the living room with granddad, Trey, and Zach.

Me-Dad?

He looked over at me.

Dad-Yeah?

Me-I finished all my homework.

Dad-Alright.

He handed me my phone.

I sat over on the love seat and started texting Lucas again.

Me-Sorry it took so long for me to text back. My dad took my phone.

Papi-Why he take it?

Me-Cause i was texting instead of doing my homework so he took it until i finished.

Papi-Ohhhh. Ok well ft???

Me-I would but im sitting here in the living room with my dad, my granddad, and my two oldest brothers.

Papi-Why u don't jsut go to yo room?

Me-Cause they gon prolly be nosy and one of my brothers will try to come in and see who im talking to.

Dad-Who u over there texting?

Me-Nina. She this girl i met today and she pretty cool.

Tbh i really am texting Nina. She just not the only person im talking to.

Trey-U sure its not that boy from p.e. today?

Me-Yea in sure.

Trey-U sure u sure cause u told him that u would text him after school today?
