Brianna POV
Khalil and I are arguing in front of our building.
He has me by my arm and isn't letting go.
"Let me go Khalil. Let me leave!"
"You really think you can just leave like that? First you let them come and take the kids and now you think you can just up and leave?"
He's high right now. I got high earlier in the morning and now I need to go find some money so that I can get some more.
"I told you they were better off without us. Look at us Khalil! Just look! We're a mess."
"No you're a mess!"
He punched me with his free hand.
"Let her go."
I looked up and saw Yasir coming towards me.
"H-how did you find me?"
"Jahari got friend in the police department who tracked you down for us."
"Please just go. Leave me alone. I'm fine."
Trey came up to me.
"You are not fine Brianna. You're out here arguing with this nigga iij n the middle of the street, letting him put his fucking hands on you. But you say you're just fine?"
I looked over and saw Khalil unconscious on the ground.
"What did y'all do to him?!"
"We did what needed to be done.", said Keshawn.
I ran to his side.
"Khalil. Khalil wake up!"
"He just got knocked out. He'll be okay."
"Bri, what's happened to you?", Zach asked.
"A lot."
"You need to come home. Mom and dad are worried sick and your kids. Your kids miss you. They need you."
"They are better off without me."
"Really? You really think they better off without you?", Andrew said.
"Yeah."
He pulled out his phone and showed me a video of Khalia crying and mom trying to console her.
"Turn it off."
"No. You think shes doing okay without you? She misses you like hell and she has cried for you every night. Jasmine still wakes up looking for you and Tyler. He reminds me so much of his dad. He strong. He miss you but he won't let nobody know that because he wanna be strong for his little sisters."
I wiped my tears.
"They are better off without me."
"Are you trying to convince us or yourself?"
"I don't deserve to be their mother. Look at me! I'm a junky. I can't go three hours without getting high. I have OD'd 3 times and the last time, Tyler had to call an ambulance for me. I keep going back to the same man who has caused me nothing but pain. From broken bones to threatening to kill me, I still stuck by him. I stayed after he kicked me in the stomach, causing me to lose my last pregnancy. I kept putting my kids in danger. They will have a much better life with mom and dad than they would with me."
"You have already acknowledged that you have a problem Bri. That's the first step. You know you want and need help. Come home with us and we can get that for you baby sis.", Trey pleaded with me.
I want to be there for my kids. I really do. But I don't know if I can. I've already scarred them so much.
Zach: Bri, you have a future. You're still young. Let us help you and get you back on the right path. You had such a bright future. You were going to major in social work and criminal justice. You wanted to help at risk youth.
Me: That was then. This is now.
Jahari: Just get in the car and come back with us. Mom and dad need to see you. They need to know you're alright.
Me: Just tell them I'm doing fine.
Trey: We not going back and lying to them Bri.
Me: Do what you want. I'm staying here.
Andrew: At least let us take you somewhere to get something to eat and maybe go shopping to get you anything you might need.
Me: Okay. I'll go to eat.
They nodded. I got in the truck with Andrew, Trey, Yasir, and Keshawn. I sat in between Keshawn and Andrew. The rest of them got in the other truck and they headed towards wherever we were going to eat.
I looked out of the window as we passed by a lot of restaurants and then we got on the Expressway.
Me: I thought we were going to eat.
Andrew: We are when we get back to New Orleans.
Me: Take me back home.
Trey: Where you think we taking you? Cause you couldnt have thought we was leaving you in a place where you had easy access to drugs with a nigga who was beating you. You need help and we going to get you help.
I can't believe this niggas just kidnapped me.
Okay. It's okay. I'll be okay.
Me: I can't stay with mom and dad when we get back so where am I going?
Yasir: We're checking you in to a 30 day program so you can get the help you need to get clean.
Okay. Okay. It's going to be okay. No it's not. I need my fix. I need something or I'm going to go crazy.

They pulled up to the rehab center and they finally let me out of the middle of Keshawn and Yasir. We went in and they got me checked in.
My brothers all told me bye and good luck. They told me they love me and that they know I can do this and then they left.
I was put into a room where I broke down. I know I need this.
I can do this. I have to do this. For my babies. For my parents. For my family. For me.
