Waking up was painful. I awoke to a room with only Natalie, Violets bags were nowhere in sight. When I sat up, Natalie was laying, her eyes bloodshot, but opened wide.

I stared at her for a moment, before plopping back down. I grabbed my phone, revealing over 40 missed alerts all through the night.

What else is new? I threw my phone down, and I hear Natalie take a big sigh.

"Katie?"

I hold my breath for a moment.

"Yes?"

I hear her move around, and I roll over to look at her. She is sitting up, and she's still in her clothes from yesterday.

"I am so sorry," she choked and I felt my throat begin to close.

"I could've died," I whispered and she nodded, tears filling her eyes.

"I told you to stay away," she took a deep breath.

I shook my head, sitting up just as she was. "No, Natalie. You should have told me everything," I complain and she's now balling her eyes out. I notice her hand, the phone sitting in it.

"Look," she tossed it unexpectedly and I caught it gracefully.

I glanced at the screen and I already knew it was going to be something horrible.

I refuse to forgive you for your actions. Keep the ring, but I'm taking my heart back. Take me out of your contacts, we are utterly done.

It was from Liam. My heart was pounding, but if wasn't even about me. My problem was worse, i mean seriously, what kind of sick bet was that?

"You should have told him," I spat. That was the only thing I could think to say.

"Well with your luck, I'm leaving."

My mind stopped thinking for a moment. Leaving? "What?"

"Going home," she said and pointed to her bags piled by the door. How could I have missed that.

"For how long?"

She laughed. "Ever."

I shook my head. "No, wait this can't happen," I stutter, but she's standing now.

"I'll call you," she says, grabbing handfuls of things. "My plane leaves in an hour, I was just waiting for you. Goodbye Kate, be careful."

With that, she opened the door, and it stayed open. I collected my breath, and decided to shower once more. This has to be some joke.

I began closing the door when a foot came between the door and the wall. What?

I opened it and Harry was standing there, his eyes bloodshot and a huge stain on his black shirt. I was closing the door again when he placed a strong hand against it.

"You can't believe them," Harry croaked and I shook my head.

"Hard to believe, but I believe it."

He shook his head, tears filling his eyes. Was he seriously crying?

"Ask Niall, even, please, I would.. Never... kill anyone. Especially you. I slept out here after Natalie locked me out." I felt my eye twitch as he spoke, hoping my tears wouldn't come now. Anytime but now would work. I need to be strong. "I wasn't even going to do it, please, after that night at your house I'm not the same I cha-"

"Please, just leave," I say, bowing my head. "Please."

"Katherine you have to believe me. Please, I'll do anything to prove it."

I shake my head. "I'll talk to Niall later."

"Kath-"

I slammed the door, locking it immediately. I couldn't deal with his sad eyes, I needed distance.

I pondered into the bathroom, praying that I would soon be alright enough to deal with myself until Natalie decided to come back. I was living proof that horrible things can happen in less than 24 hours.
