"I need that project due this time next week, no if, ands, or buts. That's final," Professor Callen spoke and I heard it loud and clear. I only had a few finishing touches and mine would be complete, I had so much spare time that I got it done in nearly 2 nights.
I got out of the class, and I began my walk back to the dorms, when I heard footsteps behind me. I turned around, and I saw Harry. My heart skipped a beat, and I smiled.
"Hey," he said and stopped jogging a few steps in front of me. "What are you doing today?" He asked and I shrugged.
"I'll be locked inside of my dungeon," I replied, laughing at my own statement. Natalie really did treat it like a dungeon, she didn't want me around other people. She was selfish.
"Dungeon," Harry repeated, grinning. He made everything sound better with his accent in all honesty. "I already got a talk about staying away from you," Harry said, stepping closer. "She even said that she'd tell your dad," he added and a shudder ran through my spine, imagining Chads reaction to Harry and I.
"I don't think she'd do that," I told Harry and he shrugged.
"I guess we will find out"
I raised an eyebrow. "You can't come over.. Natalie would flip out if-"
"No Katie," Harry chuckled. He reached out and moved a piece of hair behind my ear. "I was wondering if you wanted to come with me downtown tonight," he offered and I felt my heart skip a beat. The idea of being with Harry downtown Boston made my body feel like jello.
"You really want me to?"
Harry smiled, "well I hope you will," he said and I couldn't help but smile back at him.
"That sounds.. Like a lot of fun," I decided and he grinned, his dimples showing.
"Let's go then," he said, happily.
I'm so glad we don't argue anymore.
Harry drove us downtown Boston and he parked on a street down by Harvard campus. I was surprised at how nice he was, and honestly I think we could be something. As soon as Harry got out of his seat, I began opening my door but he ran around to my side, opening it for me.
I smiled as I took a step out, letting him close the door behind me. "Thank you," I said touching his arm lightly, I adjusted my purse and grinned.
"Anytime," he said and placed his arm around my waist. "Now I know this great place to eat," he started to explain but his words all blended in my head. I was overjoyed to be here with Harry of all people, and his accent was driving me insane, it was mesmerizing. Not to mention his hand that was around me, I didn't see that coming.
As we walked down the lightly crowded streets of Boston, I noticed a little blue car with a dent on the bumper. I suddenly recalled who's car that was. "Hey that's Luke's car," I told Harry, pointing and he glanced over to where my finger was pointing but he shook his head.
"No that's not," he lied and I narrowed my eyes. Harry let his arm drop off from my waist and I felt myself calm down a bit. He made my body stiffen every time he touched me.
"It is," I argued and he huffed.
"Katie, sometimes you really piss me off with your horrible judgement," Harry insulted and my jaw dropped.
"You're literally bipolar," I complained, crossing my arms. I focused on my feet walking instead of listening to Harry's rude remarks.
"You're clearly fucking stupid," he said and I stopped dead in my tracks. I felt like curling up into a ball and crying. Natalie was right about Harry.
I felt a tear push it's self out and Harry stopped, turning towards me. People continued walking around me and I felt my cheeks turn red of embarrassment. I wiped my eyes again and turned, walking the opposite. Where can I go? Simple. Nowhere.
"Kate, Harry called from behind me but I ignored him. Of all the offensive things Harry has said to me so far, that was final. I can't believe that he would call me stupid. I've never been called stupid, that was a foreign word to me. And bad judgement? I was a smart girl and student, I knew that.
I heard Harry's leather shoes smacking on the ground to catch up to me, but not a single part of me wanted to see him. I can't believe I saw I saw us together.. As a couple. Insanity.
"Katherine!" He called again, but I couldn't stop. There was an upcoming street, but I still couldn't stop. The crossing light was ticking down, but the street was empty. I looked to the right, and ran, hoping to beat the upcoming car.
"KATE!" Harry screamed, and that was the last thing I heard before I saw a pickup truck coming full speed on my right side. It was too late.
