Chapter 8 - Did you?

"Explain yourself Jungha! Why was this man in your room, on your bed?!" - Appa shouted at me. 

"Honey, don't scold her. At least let her say whatever she wants to say first. Don't lash out at her, she just woke up. Go and wash up first, Jungha." - Eomma interfered. As much as I want to feel thankful to eomma for letting this go for the moment, i know what she has up her sleeve.

Knowing my appa, he already has about 10 bodyguards surrounding us. With one command from him, anything could happen to Daehwi.

"If I am allowed to wash up first before explaining anything, I want this guy in front of me to be able to do so too. Because as you have always said appa, our guest, must be comfortable no matter how tense the air is. And with all due respect that I have left for you, I am grabbing his hand to my room to ensure nothing happens to him. I know what you are up to eomma, appa. Don't try me." - I said and daringly grabbed Daehwi by his wrist and pulled him away from my parents.

I dragged Daehwi to my room and rummaged through my wardrobe to look for clothes that hopefully he fits. 

"Umm... Thanks, Jungha... But that was very rude of you to do that to your parents though..." - Daehwi said, which make me turn my whole body to face him in disbelief.

"Did you seriously said that was me being rude?! That man was going to smack the shit out of you for stepping into the house and that too with me dragging you here! Did you not see the 10 big sized man surrounding us?! You heard what my mother said. To let me wash up first. Did she say anything about you? No, Daehwi! No! Once I entered my room, they're gonna lock me in here, and make you suffer. They were gonna torture the living shit out of you. I am not gonna risk that shit. Take these clothes and get into the toilet. Do not leave my room, although you are done washing up." - I lashed out.

We are all having our breakfast right now. I talked to appa. Told him everything, although I know anything could happen to Daehwi. So I purposely locked my room and brought the key with me. I took all the spare keys that I know exists in the house to ensure that nothing happens to Daehwi. 

I was really lucky that appa understood me and let me treat Daehwi until he gets better. 

"Appa... I am sorry for just now though. I didn't want to risk anything... And is it okay if you bring Daehwi to your work and train him? He's too weak and gets bullied in school. Although yesterday was my first day, I have seen enough appa. Please help him?" - I asked. Daehwi looked at me with his eyes wide open. 

He was probably thinking that I am crazy. But, yes. Yes, I am crazy. If this is the least I can do to stop the bullying that he faced, then I'll take the chance.

"Do you want to take some lessons, Daehwi? I will only conduct it if you agree. Otherwise, no." - Appa stated. I am already shaking. I prayed in my heart that Daehwi says yes, but I guess it was too late. 

"I don't think that is necessary actually, sir. I will be fine."

Right after those words, I saw a smirk on my appa's lips which quickly turn into a frown. 

"Well, since you rejected the offer. I guess it'll stay as how it is. I hope everything will go well for you, son." - Appa said after wiping his lips with a tissue. He stood up and left the dining room.

As if you really cared dad... As if...

The time is 4.30pm. I spent my day with Daehwi in my room playing my PS4. I am kinda lucky that my first day at a new school is on a Friday because I wouldn't need to see that bully face. I was walking with Daehwi since he spent the night in my house, I decided to send him home and explain to his parents. 

"So, Daehwi, what are your parents like?" - I asked. I have to break the ice since I want to protect him from that bully. I was waiting for Daehwi's answer, till I turn to face him and realised that his cheeks were wet with tears. 

"Hey... Why are you crying? I'm sorry if the question is too personal. Oh my god, I shouldn't have asked." - I said and attempt to wipe his tears away. Daehwi pushed my hands away and wiped his tears by himself. 

"Nothing, it's not that the question is too personal. I never had anybody care for me. So, I feel really touched? I don't even know, Jungha... It's like, finally there's someone who asks me about my family and stuff..." - Daehwi said. Just how must he have been living his life all this time.

Once we reached his house, we bid each other goodbye, and I walked to the park. While walking I felt like someone was following me. It's probably appa's people. I really can't believe he doesn't trust me. Like really?

I saw a playground nearby and decided to stop by it. Strangely, there isn't a lot of people at the playground. I sat on the swing and swung myself back and forth. It must have been good to have a memorable childhood... 

Does Daehwi have a memorable childhood? I should ask him that on Monday. After a while, I realised that it was getting dark and made my way back home.

I finally did it! 1 day in 1 chapter! I hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. I tried, okay? I feel like I left out a lot of details for this story because I am trying to adapt to the 1 day 1 chapter style. Bear with me for the time being. I will try to be better in this, and hopefully, you guys can see the improvement in future chapters or stories. 

I've been screwing up my body clock and I am about to screw up my upcoming event. I'll let you guys know more about the details once the event is over.
