Chapter 11: a perfect bonfire

After walking back to my cabin, I spotted James, Zach, Sean and Jake playing poker and laughing with the bets which was candy. They didn't noticed I arrived until I started laughing histerically.

"What's so funny?" Zach asked

"You guys betting on candy and come on skittles aren't higher than hersheys" I laughed

"Oh come on! Just play with us" Sean said

"My pleasure" I laughed and sat with my cards ready to have some fun.

We played a couple of rounds until we were joking around of some stupid things girls have done to try to prank us. Like come on, a prank call? We're not that dumb. No pranks go even close as Hailey does them.

"And then she blushed and started laughing and hung up" Jake laughed

"Girls don't know how to prank like Witters" I said that too loud because they were all starring at me

"Hailey huh?" Zach laughed

"I didn't mean it like that, I mean that the girls suck at playing pranks but she is the best at them. In fact, she's a better prankster than all of us combined" I said

"You may be right" Sean said

"Maybe, and what did you do with her today?" Jake asked

"We went for a walk" I stared at Zach and he knew where I took her. I looked at him with my don't-say-anything-please face and he understood so he just nodded and looked away

"Just a walk?" James asked

"You're the man! Going with the best prankster and prettiest one here!" Jake said

"I haven't done anything to her" I admitted

"Why?" They all asked at the same time

"She's just not like the others. I don't know" I said

"Hmmm point taken" they said

"So, what did I miss today?" I asked

"Sean making out with Bethany on the lake" Jake said

"Lake?" I asked

"Canoe, I took her on a ride in it and she's so different" Sean said

"Ohh..." We all said laughing

"It's not what you think!" He blushed with embarrasement

"Sure, okay" we all said still grinning

"We're going to end up talking about this all night so let's get ready for the bonfire" Sean said

"You wouldn't want to miss your lover girl" Jake teased

"Oh shut up" Sean said and we still continued laughing

We waited until everyone left to go to the bonfire since we didn't like arriving early on things like that. Since freshman year, my brother and I always were the last ones on parties. We were always considered the "leaders" of parties since we always got the attention from girls. We always went with their act but they were always the ones going on top of us with their flirtacious ways. Girls...always so immature but my opinion changed the day I had my encounter with that specific girl I've met recently. I still question myself if I had feelings for her but I don't want to fall for her. I don't because after camp what would happen? Probably forget about each other... I don't want to feel alone again after what happened...
