Chapter 12: 3 out of 5 boys

"Maybe" he said and I went inside the cabin because I expected him to do something else. The bonfire was just amazing and I had even more fun when we were on the party cabin. He danced so perfect when he put the song. From fun monopoly games, kinect games to perfect dances and floating lanterns. Oh my god! The floating lanterns! That was just amazing! He was so... Perfect? Cute? No no no not another one of his plays! He has probably done that before. He has come here before so probably he had a different girl each time for this. Yet, he was just aw perfect! Or maybe just infinite galaxies. I can't fall for him! I just can't! I don't care if he is the most perfect person ever but no, I know he will leave me heartbroken and we will forget about each other after camp. My thoughts stop when I see Bethany just looking at one of her fashion magazines.

"Hey! Did you have a great time? Where were you? You disappeared for 3 hours on the bonfire" she said a little higher than a whisper since all the girls were sleeping

"Hey! I had an amazing time! I was with Bryce on the party cabin playing monopoly and dance games on kinect" I said and sat in front of her in the top bunk. I had changed in pjs quickly before that so I brought my midnight snacks with me. Traditions since we were little...

"Nice! Anything special?" She asked

"Maybe" I laughed

"When?" She asked curiously

"On the walk before preparing for the bonfire" I said

"Did you actually 'went for a walk'?" she knew I lied about that, she knows me too well and I laughed a bit

"Yeah but he took me to this amazing place. It was a stream that was like a crystal clear pool with a cascade. It was just amazing and we may have shared...um...a quick kiss" I said blushing

"No way! How was the kiss?" She asked

"Quick and sudden" I said indifferently

"Did you enjoy it?" She asked excited

"I don't know" I said

"You don't know? What's bothering you? Something's wrong, I can feel it" she knew me too well oh god

"Okay, I did enjoy it and wanted it to happen again but I just don't want to fall for someone that will end up breaking my heart. I know what type of guy Bryce is, and he's a player. You can clearly see it when all the girls go over him and I just don't want to be "just another girl" , I want to be something more, something real. I want to fall for someone that can show real feelings and not a play" I said

"I understand but you should get to know him better because you never know how a person really is and there may be a reason behind his 'player' personality" she said

"Okay, thanks I needed this talk because I'm just confused" I said

"I can see in your eyes that you have strong feelings for him" she said

"I'm an open book, I recognize that" I laughed

"True that" she said and we do our usual hand shake

"I can't believe we still do that!" I said laughing histerically

"We've done that since when? 4th grade?!" She said laughing as well and we laughed too loud because everyone started to tell us to be quiet

"Go to sleep Hailey, we're going to wake everyone up" she said as she threw her pillow at me
