Chapter 15: Worst game night

When I saw that Hailey wasn't here, it made me feel kind of bummed. I saw the guys and the girls on the foosball table playing the game, but Zach wasn't here. As I came closer, I heard their laughters as they played the game.

"Hey! What am I missing?" I asked

"The best game of foosball" Lauren said excited

"Or the worst because they have creamed us these last 5 rounds" Sean said and I noticed a commotion on a table which had lots of people around

"Wow! What's happening over there?" I asked

"They're having an intense 'poker game' since each bet is kind of a dare" Jake said

"I'm going to check it out then" I said and they all ended their game to go with me to check out the big fuss

"Here's the champ of poker! Want to play?" One of them asked

"No, I'm good. You would be sorry if I played" I said

"Hmmm, for my final dare, I dare you, Bryce, to make out with that girl over there" he pointed to a girl on the corner just enjoying herself with her friends

"Not interested, sorry" I said and as I walked away, what he said caught my attention

"Don't run away from the dare because you know what happens when you don't do the dare on this game. So, option 1: make out with that girl or option 2: the usual prank to the councelors plus getting the isolation cabin for the rest of the camp session. You wouldn't want that" I sighed by that usual prank because it would get me isolated from camp for the rest of the session and I didn't want to have a bad time here.

The usual prank to the councelors was to go to their cabins with a big horn and play it along their cabins plus throwing at them water balloons and whip cream. Only one person had done that prank and that person got kicked off camp the next day. It was on the rules here, you can pull all the pranks you want but not to take it too far like on councelors. I thought about Hailey because I had feelings for her and it would make me feel guilty to hide what I'm about to do to the girl. She wasn't here so I decided to just get over it. I went to that girl and started making out with her. I had to do it for 10 seconds and they were the worst for me, it wasn't even close to what I felt on the quick kiss with Hailey.

10 seconds can change anything because when I heard a glass of water shatter to the floor and people whispering, I saw Hailey in the door just shocked and she ran out quickly. People started saying that it happened again because last year something similar happened. It was a dare but I didn't feel anything for neither of the girls but I still saw the heartbreak on one of them. Instead of running away like Hailey did, she had come down with her soda and had thrown it in my face. I guess this one was worst because it was towards someone I had feelings for.

"Wait! Hailey! It's not what it looks like" I said but she was gone already. I was going to run after her until I got stopped by the guys and girls

"Bryce! Bryce! Let it go for now" Bethany said "Give her time to clear off. Believe me, it's for your own good. If you go to her like she's feeling now, she's going to hate you more so not today" I remember seeing how crushed she looked

"What am I going to do? She thinks that I did this on purpose! I can't leave her thinking like that" I said

"Just chill! You'll talk to her soon but just not now. She needs her time to clear off" Sean said
