Fitting in

I am a normal teenager, but by normal I do not mean that I should be like everyone else. From school to our daily lives, we are told to be like him/her maybe because they are more popular than you or they accomplished more than you. Whatever we do, we are constantly being judged even by the closest people. Everyone tells us we are not good enough no matter how hard we try, till the point we do not even get motivated to prove them wrong. Why? Noone acknowledges our hard work. If this continues on and on, things will get really hard for us since we are constantly trying our best to "fit in" the world like everyone else. Now I don't see the point in that. Everyone is made for different purposes, no matter how big or small, we are changing the world even if we may not see it. Imagine if everyone was the same, doing the same things, accomplishing the same rewards, life would be really boring then, nothing would make us excited since we are continuously doing what everyone tells us to do. We would never live our life, enjoying every moment and second. Time flies really fast and if we don't do the things we like, the things that make us happy, we wouldn't be using our lives to the full potential. Sometimes we hang around with people that we are not comfortable, those who hurt us endlessly and yet we talk to them, pretending to be friends with them. Why do we stay with people who stab us in the back countless times, why do we endure all those hardships just to seem happy while deep down we are breaking apart?
