"So umm.... What did... Connor like?" Cynthia asked, after what seemed like hours of just metal on china plates.
"He-... umm He was kinda hard to describe" I felt myself smile for the first time since he left.
"What did he like?" Larry kept himself from stuttering as I pushed multiple loose hairs from my face and behind my ear.
"Well he... he always loved to be outside, everyday no matter what he was doing, he always smelt like pine" I inhale deeply before continuing.
"But he would never admit it... whenever I brought it up it was like he would get embarrassed or something, And I think that was because if he had told someone his interest he would be afraid of being told he was wrong or something." I finished, taking a sip of water
"What did you see?" Zoe asked, as if she was the plate of China, not like she would cry, but that she could break at any second.
"What?" I asked
"Whenever someone.... else would see Connor they would immediately label him as "Bad" what did you see?" She continued as I almost chuckled but stopped.
"I've actually known.... Knew him for over 6 years and he, we met in 5th grade when we were forced to sit near each other in detention, he there for... well I don't even remember at this point, but me,... I was... it's not important, but he looked over at me as if he could tell what was my personality with one look, but instead of seeing the regular high school cheerleader type, he saw... me... the girl with black lined glasses and a gray hoodie" I said, lost in nostalgic thought.
